Machida City Excellence in Construction Awards 2024

In Machida City, located in the southern part of Tokyo, the Excellence in Construction Awards for the fiscal year 2024 have recently been decided. This award is presented to exemplary construction projects commissioned by the city, which are recognized for their superior performance and contribution to the improvement of public works quality. The award represents an acknowledgment of the hard work and dedication of contractors who go above and beyond in their projects.

The award ceremony is set to take place on May 30, 2025, where six contractors will be honored for their exceptional work among 78 completed projects evaluated for the year. Out of these, ten projects met the criteria to receive the prestigious Excellence in Construction Award. Winning contractors will benefit from a three-year score boost when partaking in future bid evaluations utilizing a comprehensive evaluation method.

Award-winning Projects

The following projects have been recognized this year:
1. Machida 835 Route (Haramachida Central Street) and Two Other Routes - Joint utility trench construction
2. Machida 630 Route and One Other Route (Haramachida Avenue) - Improvement of retention space and other facilities
3. Machida 835 Route (Haramachida Central Street) - Joint utility trench construction (Part 2)
4. Chuo 732 Route (One Green Road) - Development of road lighting facilities and more
5. Koyama Green Space - Earthquake resistance renovation and other enhancements
6. Koyama Green Space (Part 2) - Further development of the area
7. Machida 623 Route (In front of the Fire Station) - Joint utility trench and road improvement work (Part 3)
8. Chuo 630 Route (Phase 2) - Road improvement work (Part 4)
9. Kanamori Library - Lighting renovation project
10. Children's Center Pao - Air conditioning facilities renovation
