The U.S. Center for SafeSport has recently reported a remarkable surge in the number of individuals visiting its Centralized Disciplinary Database (CDD). In just one month since the launch of weekly news updates, the center documented a staggering 125% increase in new visitors to the database. This initiative aims to enhance public awareness regarding individuals banned from participating in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement.

According to the organization's CEO, Olympian Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, promoting the database is essential for parents, coaches, employers, and sport administrators. She emphasized, "Checking SafeSport's database should be a common practice among those involved in sports." Despite the importance of this resource, many had been unaware of its existence. By investing in nationwide outreach, the center hopes to increase transparency and improve safety within sports environments.

The center rolled out regular updates and announcements on July 21, detailing individuals added to the database as well as outcomes of arbitration cases. The increase in visitors was measured by comparing traffic to the CDD from July 21 to August 20 in 2026 with the same timeframe in 2025. Notably, the updates attracted over 6,300 new visitors in the first month alone.

However, not all sport organizations are mandated to enforce these bans.
