Poésies: A New Atelier in Setagaya

The select shop Poésies has found its new home just a four-minute walk from Meidaimae Station in Setagaya, reopening on October 25, 2025. This shop focuses primarily on men’s brands and presents unisex wear, showcasing a unique curation of both domestic and international styles.

The store features a variety of innovative brands such as Bois&Forets, IRENISA, Lea Boberg, X-MINIMAL, nonnotte, and KOOKY ZOO. Each brand contributes to an eclectic mix that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics.

The philosophy behind Poésies is to remain rooted in tradition while embracing a contemporary vibe in terms of form, detail, and materials. The new location provides an opportunity for the shop to express personal tastes and interpretations more freely and deeply.

A Space for Creativity

Poésies is known for its sharp creative vision, which is evident in the selection of brands it houses. Domestic labels like IRENISA and nonnotte showcase innovative designs, while unique craftsmanship is highlighted through brands like pas deux pareils, which employs the world-renowned Kyoto Marble dyeing technique, and ROUTINE, known for its advanced knitting technology from Niigata.

X-MINIMAL, led by designer Yu Okuno, takes an independent approach, pushing the boundaries of ready-to-wear fashion with advanced patterns and designs. In addition, Poésies also introduces new scent collections, including the fragrance brand çanoma and Saint Rita Parlor from Los Angeles, emphasizing the role of scent in shop branding.

A Desert Oasis

The shop's new location evokes the imagery of an atelier quietly standing in a desert-like expanse, surrounded by the ongoing redevelopment of Meidaimae. Though close to the train station, the journey to the shop offers the sensation of walking through a wild, unrefined landscape. The connection to Brutalism and the scenery reminiscent of Georgia O'Keeffe's New Mexico adds to the shop's attractive and artistic ambiance.

The creators at Poésies aspire for their store to become a sanctuary for customers, a space that brings comfort and inspiration.
