DEAN & DELUCA, operated by Welcome Co., Ltd., has announced its participation in the Fair Trade Million Action Campaign, set to commence on May 1, 2026. This initiative, spearheaded by Fair Trade Label Japan, aims to enhance support for communities involved in fair trade through delicious food purchases and social media engagements. The campaign is one of the largest fair trade promotion efforts in Japan, garnering the participation of approximately 200 companies and organizations since its inception in 2021.

Limited-Time Menu Featuring Fair Trade Ingredients



As part of this campaign, DEAN & DELUCA will offer a series of specially curated items made with fair trade ingredients. Customers will have the opportunity to indulge in drinks, pastries, and prepared foods that not only satisfy their taste buds but also contribute to community support. Every purchase made during this campaign translates into direct financial support for the producers, with a commitment of one yen donated for each action taken in the month of May.

The Fair Trade Million Action Campaign focuses on increasing awareness of fair trade practices while promoting relationships between consumers and producers. The initiative supports sustainable agriculture and aims to improve the livelihoods of farmers by connecting them directly with consumers.

Starting this May, DEAN & DELUCA will launch a special beverage called the Veggie Smoothie. Made with fair trade moringa and white sesame, this refreshing smoothie embodies the seasonal ingredients of spring, served alongside other products highlighting ethically sourced flavors. The menu springs to life in cafes with appealing offerings that highlight seasonal ingredients and flavors.

- Kale & Banana with Moringa - priced at ¥778. This fresh blend combines kale, banana, and moringa with Greek yogurt and coconut water.
- Yellow Beet & Mango with Coconut - this smoothie is infused with turmeric, offering a vibrant and tropical flavor.

2. Bakery Special: DEAN & DELUCA's bakers have crafted treats such as:
- Carrot Cake - updated with organic fair trade spices for a delightful, moist texture.
- Tea Victoria Cake - featuring blends of Darjeeling and Earl Grey, it promises a rich, aromatic experience.
- Blood Orange Polenta Cake - a delightful seasonal option topped with blood orange syrup.

3. Prepared Foods:
- Grilled Asparagus with Romesco Sauce - featuring fair trade black pepper, it pairs perfectly with various dishes.
- Kale & Quinoa Salad - light and nutritious, it is topped with a zesty lemon dressing.
- Charcoal-Grill Beef Sirloin - a hearty meal that emphasizes rich flavors through fair trade black pepper and unique cooking techniques.
