Geely Auto's Global Strategy Unveiled at 2026 Conference in Hangzhou

The 2026 Geely Auto International Business Partner Conference

From April 21 to 23, 2026, Geely Auto hosted its International Business Partner Conference in Hangzhou, China. This significant event marked a pivotal moment for Geely, attracting over 1,000 representatives from automotive trading companies across more than 100 countries. Attendees delved into Geely's international business strategy under the theme of "One Geely," emphasizing the company’s commitment to enhancing its global footprint alongside its partners.

During the conference, Geely's executives provided a comprehensive overview of the company's global strategy roadmap, showcasing a synergistic approach towards technological planning and innovation across its Future Energy (FE) systems. Notably, the automotive research institutes of Geely—Lynk & Co and Zeekr—shared details about their flagship models and future product plans tailored for international markets. This integrated collaborative model not only strengthens the framework of "One Geely" but also positions the company for sustainable global growth.

Reflecting a robust performance, Geely achieved remarkable sales milestones in 2025, surpassing four million vehicle sales for the first time and solidifying its position among the top ten automotive manufacturers worldwide. In that year, the Geely Auto Group alone delivered 3.025 million vehicles, marking a 39% increase from the previous year. Looking ahead, Geely aims to bolster this trajectory by setting a target to sell over 6.5 million vehicles globally by 2030. This ambitious strategy includes maintaining a diverse mix of approximately 75% alternative energy vehicles and expanding its international sales to make up more than one-third of total sales.

The first quarter of 2026 continued to showcase Geely's rapid growth, with the company setting a new record by selling 709,400 vehicles, including more than 200,000 exports, which represented a staggering 126% increase year-on-year. Jerry Gan, CEO of Geely Auto, articulated the company's ongoing evolution, stating, "Geely is continuously expanding its infrastructure and refining its core competencies amid the rapid transformation of the global automotive industry. By leveraging the best aspects of the automotive industry globally alongside our unique strengths, we are building a world-class ecosystem."

Guided by a philosophy of mutual cooperation, Geely is deepening partnerships with international collaborators while cultivating a locally oriented global operational system. In line with its 2030 strategy, Alex Nan, Vice President of Geely Auto Group and CEO of Geely Auto International Corporation, articulated a clear roadmap for global business development. He emphasized a multi-energy strategy, encompassing traditional combustion vehicles and electric vehicles, focused on creating sustainable competitive advantages based on utility. As of today, Geely has established over 1,800 sales and service outlets across more than 100 countries and regions, supporting over 20 million users globally.

Apart from strategic discussions, the conference offered global partners firsthand insights into the extensive capabilities of "One Geely" through visits to the Geely Global Safety Center and the Zeekr Intelligent Factory, coupled with impressive demonstrations of advanced smart driving technology. Showcasing its core competencies in safety, manufacturing, and intelligent mobility, Geely aims to enhance partner trust and build momentum for its next chapter of global expansion.
