Ecomondo 2025: A Landmark Event for Sustainability

From November 4th to 7th, 2025, the Rimini Expo Centre will host Ecomondo, a significant event that focuses on ecological transition, green economies, and sustainable innovation. Organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), this year's gathering expects participation from over 1,700 exhibiting brands and 350 official buyers from 66 countries, alongside 30 official delegations and 90 professional associations. The event aims to serve as a hub for discussions centered around pressing environmental issues, highlighting the importance of sustainability in today's economy.

Ecomondo originally emerged in the late ’90s and has steadily evolved into the go-to platform for businesses eager to engage with the green economy both in Europe and globally. According to Maurizio Ermeti, president of IEG, "the saga of Ecomondo reflects a journey of success and growth; it is an international benchmark for companies entering the green economy market."

Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG, emphasizes Ecomondo's role in bridging different sectors, stating, "This is where innovation, business, and strategic vision converge. It connects institutions, enterprises, and academia to discuss the challenges and opportunities in environmental policies and the shift towards a circular economy, promoting strategic partnerships that foster global synergies."

Alessandra Astolfi, the director of the Green Technology department at IEG, points out that Ecomondo stands as the quintessential meeting point for international stakeholders in the ecological transition, aided by synergies with the Italian Trade Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
