Global Fashion Summit 2026: Fashion Leaders Collaborate for a Sustainable Future

Global Fashion Summit 2026: A Call for Resilience in Fashion

From May 5 to 7, 2026, the Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition attracted more than 1,000 stakeholders from various sectors including brands, NGOs, and policymakers, who gathered to confront fashion's pressing sustainability challenges. Hosted at the renowned Copenhagen Concert Hall, the event emphasized the theme of 'Building Resilient Futures'. Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark honored the event with her presence at the closing celebration, reflecting the summit's significance.

As the fashion industry faces unprecedented challenges such as climate change and economic instability, Federica Marchionni, CEO of the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA), opened the summit with a stark reminder that resilience in the industry is no longer a choice—it is a responsibility. She urged leaders to rethink global value chains, urging them to invest in product integrity and to build circular infrastructures that prioritize sustainability over excess.

The event featured over 140 speakers, including prominent figures from Kering, Chanel, Patagonia, and the European Parliament. Each brought unique insights, focusing on the urgent need for measurable outcomes that advance sustainability within the industry. Marchionni's words resonated throughout the event: the future of fashion depends on the industry's willingness to lead change rather than react to it.
