SINEXCEL's Energy Storage System: A Breakthrough for Commercial and Industrial Sectors

SINEXCEL Powers a New Energy Storage Initiative in Guangyuan

On April 30, 2026, SINEXCEL (300693.SZ) announced the completion of its battery energy storage system (BESS) in the city of Guangyuan, Sichuan Province, China. This innovative system has the capacity of 107.12 MW/428.48 MWh, making a significant impact in the commercial and industrial sectors throughout the country.

Background of the Project

The project has been specifically designed for Zhongfu Industrial, a leading aluminum manufacturer. The energy-intensive process of primary aluminum production often incurs electricity costs that can reach as high as 40% of total production expenses. Additionally, unexpected power outages pose severe risks, potentially resulting in millions in losses due to the freezing of electrolytes. This necessitates a highly reliable power conversion system (PCS).

To address these challenges, SINEXCEL's energy storage solution enables the accumulation of inexpensive electricity during off-peak times. By utilizing this stored energy in peak demand periods, Zhongfu Industrial saves approximately 140 yuan for every ton of aluminum produced, leading to annual savings exceeding 60 million yuan and a reduction in CO2 emissions by about 52,000 tons each year.

Technology and Reliability

The system comprises 104 SINEXCEL PCS modules, each rated at 1725 kW, integrated with 5 MWh battery containers, utilizing an efficiency-driven architecture with constant current connections. The PCS operates at reduced loads to maximize longevity, which is essential for the rigorous conditions often found in industrial settings.

Its rapid reaction capability (within milliseconds) prevents expensive production stops during network instability by ensuring uninterrupted backup power. The system boasts an impressive energy efficiency of up to 98.5%, promising substantial long-term energy cost savings.

Built with reliability in mind, SINEXCEL's PCS is rated IP54, offering superior protection against dust and industrial pollutants that may contribute to rapid equipment wear in metallurgical production environments. The entire system has received CE, VDE 4110/4120, and EN 50549 certifications for the European market and complies with grid requirements in the USA, Australia, Japan, and Thailand. SINEXCEL's extensive experience is evidenced by over 1 GW of cumulative capacity delivered globally.

Leading the Green Energy Revolution

SINEXCEL's 1725 kW PCS is becoming a benchmark in the transformation toward a more environmentally friendly industrial landscape. This project is just one example of their extensive adaptability, having previously participated in one of Latvia's largest wind integration projects. Operating in over 60 countries and collectively exceeding 17 GW/50 GWh of installed capacity, SINEXCEL continues to lead the charge in providing reliable, high-efficiency solutions for energy and industrial projects worldwide.
