Jaguar Uranium Discovers Rare Earth Elements in Colombian Berlin Project Drill Core Resampling

Jaguar Uranium Discovers Rare Earth Elements in Colombian Berlin Project

Jaguar Uranium Corp. recently announced findings from its historical drill-core resampling at the Berlin Project located in the Department of Caldas, Colombia. This marks a significant milestone as selected intervals from the core returned notable amounts of rare earth elements (REE), specifically neodymium, praseodymium, terbium, and dysprosium, alongside mineralization of uranium and vanadium. These elements predominantly find usage in various high-tech applications, which significantly elevates the economic potential of the site.

Details of the Findings

In this drill-core resampling program, specific intervals exhibited substantial concentrations of total rare earth oxides (TREO), with reported values reaching up to 3,570 ppm TREO and 607 ppm of magnetic rare earth oxides (MREO). Additional intervals demonstrated concentrations of 2,267 ppm TREO and 329 ppm MREO, alongside remarkable enrichments of neodymium, praseodymium, terbium, and dysprosium.

The Berlin Project is positioned within a strategic framework enhancing U.S.-Colombia relations and their mutual cooperation in critical minerals. Especially crucial to this are the Barranquilla Accords established on September 8, 2026, which aim to bolster the secure supply chains for mineral resources essential to modern technology and clean energy initiatives.

Importance of Rare Earth Elements

Rare earth elements comprise a collection of seventeen metallic elements essential for manufacturing various advanced technologies. The presence of these elements in conjunction with uranium, vanadium, and phosphate mineralization suggests that Jaguar Uranium’s Berlin Project could evolve into a critical minerals project in the Western Hemisphere. As the world faces increasing reliance on REE for tech applications, mining regions that yield these resources are becoming increasingly important.

Future Plans and Exploration

Jaguar Uranium intends to further assess the REO findings for possible integration into future geological models and mineral resource assessments. This exploration will necessitate additional drilling, continuity assessments, and analytical reviews. The results released represent only preliminary exploration findings and do not confirm the presence of mineral reserves; nevertheless, they highlight the project’s economic prospects and importance in the global mineral supply chain.

Steven Gold, President and CEO of Jaguar Uranium, remarked, "The initial results indicate that rare earth elements occur with uranium, phosphate, and vanadium mineralization in the selected Berlin core intervals. We plan to use these results, together with trenching, geophysics, and drilling, to refine the geological model and evaluate the continuity of mineralization."

Historical Context

The Berlin Project does not emerge from obscurity; it features a rich history of over 20,000 meters of drilling from prior campaigns conducted between 2010 and 2012. The drill cores examined in this recent resampling were obtained during these earlier exploration phases, which were originally executed by U3O8 Corp. Jaguar Uranium acquired and has since been rigorously maintaining the core samples to ensure their integrity and readiness for analysis.

The Path Ahead

Jaguar Uranium’s strategic initiatives, combined with its findings in the Berlin Project, align seamlessly with accelerating efforts from the U.S. and Colombia to secure critical mineral supply chains, which are essential for both technological advancement and energy sustainability. With further investment and exploration, Jaguar aims to position itself as a leader in the mineral space, meeting the growing industrial demand for rare earth elements.

As developments unfold, Jaguar Uranium remains committed to exploring the full potential of its Berlin Project, contributing to the greater goals of sustainable energy and technology supply chains across the Americas.
