Hanson Builders Celebrates Opening of St. Jude Dream Home Showplace

A Milestone Event for Hanson Builders and St. Jude

On August 13, 2025, Hanson Builders, a notable home construction firm based in Minnesota, held a ribbon-cutting event and VIP Sneak Peek for the much-anticipated St. Jude Dream Home Showplace. This key event took place in the picturesque Evanswood neighborhood of Maple Grove, drawing attention from local dignitaries including Mayor Mark Steffenson and various city council members, alongside numerous community members eager to witness the home's grand unveiling.

This home, valued at $1.9 million, stands as a significant achievement for both Hanson Builders and the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The net proceeds from the home's sale will contribute directly to St. Jude's mission: Finding Cures. Saving Children. This is particularly meaningful as it marks the very first St. Jude Dream Home Showplace to be constructed in Minnesota, showcasing a commitment to both community involvement and childhood cancer research.

Crafting a Legacy

Since breaking ground in November 2024, the team at Hanson Builders diligently worked on every facet of the design and construction processes. Their efforts center around a foundation of signature craftsmanship and sustainable building practices, emphasizing luxury finishes and meticulous attention to detail.

JD Hanson, the company president, expressed pride in the collaboration with national sponsors like Brizo®, Shaw Industries®, Trane®, Bosch®, and Kichler Lighting®, recognizing that their support helps raise awareness for this important initiative. Each sponsor played a vital role in bringing the home to life, adding a layer of sophistication and functionality.

A Public Invitation

The St. Jude Dream Home Showplace is set to open its doors to the public during the Fall 2025 Parade of Homes, occurring from September 5 to 28, every Friday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Visitors can explore the home and its innovative features with an admission fee of just $5. Prospective homeowners will find an inspiring design that demonstrates what a dream home could truly embody, all while supporting a noble cause—each ticket purchase contributes to the mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
