Exciting Art and Play Projects for Children Hosted by ASOMANABO

ASOMANABO Art and Play Projects

On the weekend of November 29th and 30th, ASOMANABO, a children's creative school operated by Creative Studio Maruto located in Setagaya, Tokyo, will host a pair of exciting art projects in two locations. Known for its innovative approach to teaching art, ASOMANABO offers children unique opportunities to explore creativity and express themselves.

Project One: OtoOtoGraffiti

The first project, titled OtoOtoGraffiti, will take place from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the 29th at the gallery clinic located next to Blue Bottle Coffee in Sangenjaya, Setagaya. This interactive installation combines digital projection mapping and analog art to create an immersive experience for children. Led by ASOMANABO's own Satoshi Suzuki (an engineer and Digital Research instructor), mural painter Aimi Suma, and ASOMANABO director Mai Osawa, this endeavor invites children to draw lines and colors that come to life through light and sound.

The theme for this year's OtoOtoGraffiti is “Lost in Universe,” where children can float in a cosmic space adorned with their creations, allowing them to play with sound while exploring their artistic expressions.

Project Two: Kumo to Hoshi no Yatai

The second project, titled Kumo to Hoshi no Yatai, will be hosted at the Have a Good Market on the 29th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on the 30th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Fureai Square in Setagaya. This project will offer engaging workshops for both children and adults, where participants can make fluffy keychains and enjoy delightful mini-game stalls.

Nestled in the atmosphere of a market, “Kumo to Hoshi no Yatai” is a fun way to create cute ornaments while enjoying shopping. This workshop provides a place for visitors to unwind and explore their creative side while making lasting memories with their families.
