SHPT's European Debut at the World Hydrogen Summit: A New Era in Hydrogen Energy

SHPT's Grand Entrance at the World Hydrogen Summit 2026

From May 19 to May 21, 2026, Rotterdam, Netherlands, hosted the esteemed World Hydrogen Summit and Exhibition, a crucial gathering in the hydrogen energy sector that attracted 18,500 attendees, including government representatives from over 100 countries and delegates from more than 500 companies. This significant event marked SHPT's debut in the Netherlands as they unveiled their cutting-edge fuel cell technology, including the promising PROME M4H fuel cell and the innovative P4H fuel cell system.

The company's booth highlighted a variety of developments from their Series 5 fuel cell vehicles, displaying practical applications and international collaborations. The response was overwhelmingly positive, drawing interest from potential clients hailing from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Chile, South Korea, Turkey, and beyond, eager to explore future partnerships.

In addition to the exhibition, SHPT actively contributed to high-level international dialogues focused on hydrogen energy. Notably, their participation in the China-Netherlands Hydrogen Energy Forum organized by the China Hydrogen Alliance demonstrated a commitment to investigating sustainable opportunities for building a viable hydrogen ecosystem.

During the thematic forum 'Next Generation Mobility: Hydrogen Fuelling Heavy Freight', led by Dr. Emma Guthrie, CEO of the UK Hydrogen Energy Association, SHPT's Lv Jiaming discussed major advancements and ongoing challenges within the hydrogen fuel cell sector. The session included representatives from cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG and TEAL Mobility, where the dialogue centered around developments in fuel cell technology, hydrogen-powered heavy trucks, refueling infrastructure, and logistics operations.

Mr. Lv provided insights into the dynamics of the Chinese hydrogen energy market, discussing significant progress alongside persistent challenges regarding policies, standards, and technology applications. Analyzing the European market specifics, he expressed optimism about the commercial rise of fuel cell vehicles in heavy transportation for medium to long distances. This optimism is fueled by a growing engagement from various countries and regions in research initiatives and pilot projects concerning hydrogen-powered heavy-duty vehicles.

Following their inaugural showcase in the Netherlands, SHPT reaffirmed their determination to accelerate their expansion into the European market. The company aims to leverage its expertise to introduce the intricacies of the Chinese fuel cell industry to its international partners, striving to establish collaborative technical frameworks, innovative business models, and a robust industrial ecosystem centered around hydrogen.

As nations unite in the pursuit of sustainable energy solutions, SHPT's entry into the European market could pave the way for increased collaboration and development within the hydrogen sector. With their innovative products and a proactive approach in forming strategic alliances, SHPT is poised to become a significant player in the advancement of hydrogen technologies.
