CTIS Summer School 2025 Overview
Capital Tokyo International School (CTIS), recognized as an IB World School, is proud to announce its inaugural English Summer School Program, set for August 2025. This program is tailored for students from 6th grade to 8th grade, including those outside CTIS. The innovative curriculum is designed to enhance students' English skills, focusing specifically on presentation abilities and TOEFL Junior speaking, while providing practical experiences that connect school learning to real-world scenarios.
Program Details
Session 1: Public Speaking & Presentations
- - Dates: August 4 - August 8, 2025
- - Objective: To empower students to deliver impactful presentations in English confidently.
- - Duration: 5 days of interactive learning.

Day 1: Understanding what makes a memorable presentation.

Day 2: Learning effective presentation structures.

Day 3: Practicing the use of voice, gestures, and slides.

Day 4: Receiving constructive feedback from peers and teachers for improvement.

Final Day: Students will showcase their skills in a three-minute presentation on a topic of their choice, such as their favorite food or place.

Session 2: TOEFL Junior® Speaking Course
- - Dates: August 25 - August 29, 2025
- - Objective: To master the speaking sections of the TOEFL Junior test.
- - Duration: 5 days of focused practice on different question types such as Read Aloud, Picture Narration, and Listen & Speak.

Registration and Requirements
- - Age Group: Open to students in grades 6 through 8.
- - Capacity: Limited to 3 to 10 participants.
- - Location: CTIS Campus, Minami Azabu, Tokyo.
