Yomeishu's New Campaign Against Cold Sensitivity
Starting November 9, 2023, Yomeishu Seizo Co., Ltd., based in Shibuya, Tokyo, will begin airing a new television commercial titled "Slowly Warming Yomeishu for Winter". The ads will feature an engaging narrative focusing on the struggles faced by those suffering from cold sensitivity during the winter months.
The Concept Behind the Commercial
The commercial opens with a striking question posed by a Yomeishu bottle: "Cold sensitivity getting you down?" As the camera shifts to show Yomeishu being poured, we see a mother and daughter taking the herbal drink, showcasing the gradual warmth that envelops them. This heartwarming visual is complemented by the soothing melody of"Pechika", reminiscent of a cozy hearth, enhancing the comforting atmosphere of the ad.
This initiative aims to raise awareness among cold sensitivity sufferers about the existence of Yomeishu, a medicinal herbal drink designed to combat the complications arising from feeling cold. Cold sensitivity not only chills the body but can also hinder digestive functions and lead to fatigue. Thus, it’s essential to address these symptoms comprehensively rather than merely managing them with temporary relief strategies.
Understanding Cold Sensitivity
Many individuals experience various forms of cold sensitivity. Common issues include cold hands and feet, abdominal sensitivity, and even difficulty sleeping due to feeling cold. While many attempt to ameliorate these issues through layers of clothing, hot baths, and warm meals, true improvement in their cold sensitivity remains elusive.
Muscle mass plays a significant role in generating body heat; therefore, those with less muscle development, particularly women, are more susceptible to becoming chilled. Factors like irregular lifestyles, excessive stress, inadequate sleep, and lack of physical activity can impair the body’s natural temperature regulation.
The Role of Traditional Medicine
In traditional Eastern medicine, cold sensitivity is recognized as a legitimate condition that deserves treatment. Yomeishu is classified as a Category II medicinal product, enriched with 14 types of herbal ingredients that improve blood circulation and enhance metabolism, thereby helping alleviate symptoms of cold sensitivity along with other issues like poor complexion and bodily weakness.
Furthermore, Eastern medicine offers insights into everyday practices that can promote a balanced state of health, emphasizing proactive routine wellness, or "yojo," and addressing pre-illness states, or "mibyo." This contrasts with Western medicine’s more reactive approach to health issues.
Highlights of the Commercial
The commercial features various winter scenes shot in locations around Tokyo, capturing the essence of winter chill. The opening scene showcases a woman questioning, "Are you struggling with cold sensitivity?" In another scene, the actress rides a crowded bus, portraying the discomfort of winter travel vividly.
An extraordinary detail includes the bottle of Yomeishu communicating through creative camera work, enhancing the emotional connection viewers might feel toward the product. The filming team employed a special shift lens effect to give the bottle a character, making it seem almost alive.
The Signature Herbal Essence
The Yomeishu product contains 14 carefully selected herbal ingredients, each contributing unique flavors and scents. Crafting the visual representation of these ingredients for the commercial was no small feat, as each herb varies, making it essential for the production team to artfully arrange them to create an appealing scene.
A Call for Health Awareness
The 30-second version of the commercial introduces an intriguing jingle at the beginning as it transitions from the traditional Yomeishu bottle to a modern version, conveying a sense of history and continuity. The ad culminates with the tagline, "Serving the health of the people since its inception," a tribute to Yomeishu’s long-standing commitment to public health.
Product Information
Yomeishu is available in two sizes: 1000mL for 2,420 yen and 700mL for 1,705 yen, and can be purchased at pharmacies, drug stores, and online.
As winter approaches, Yomeishu hopes that this campaign will resonate with those grappling with cold sensitivity, offering a warm solution to their plight.
