Dynam Corporation, known for its extensive network of pachinko halls across all 46 prefectures in Japan, is taking significant steps to enhance work-life balance for its employees. In response to the amended Childcare and Family Care Leave Law, which comes into full effect on October 1, 2025, the company is set to introduce the "Childcare Support Leave" and "Individual Intent Confirmation" systems.

Overview of the New Systems


Introduction of Childcare Support Leave

From October 1, employees raising children from age three to pre-school entry will be eligible for up to 10 days of unpaid Childcare Support Leave annually. This leave can be utilized for a variety of childcare-related activities, including caring for sick children, attending daycare functions, and participating in school events. The flexibility of the system allows for leave to be taken in hourly increments, catering to the diverse needs of employees.

Implementation of Individual Intent Confirmation

Starting on the same date, Dynam will also roll out the Individual Intent Confirmation system for employees who are pregnant or have children under three years of age. Through individual meetings with supervisors, the company will provide guidance on flexible working arrangements and inquire about employees’ preferences and needs. This initiative aims to tailor work conditions to better suit individual circumstances, ultimately fostering a work environment that is more accommodating to personal situations. By taking a proactive approach to these conversations, the company encourages the effective use of its new systems.
