Transforming Kaga Onsen Station: A New Hub for Visitors with a Digital Facade
The Kaga Onsen Station, set to become a stop on the Hokuriku Shinkansen in March 2024, is undergoing significant transformation. Positioned at the entrance to the Kaga Onsen region—home to renowned hot springs like Katayamazu, Yamashiro, and Yamashoku, along with rich natural landscapes and historical ambiance—it’s becoming a major attraction for both domestic and international tourists.
As part of this initiative, Hyojito Co., a leading company from Nagoya, has partnered with the city to integrate cutting-edge technology into the station's new all-weather plaza. This facility features an impressive area of 1,600 square meters, dominated by a 14-meter high glass-roofed structure that allows for the display of various forms of visual media. The plaza will host a large LED screen showcasing vital information about local tourism and businesses within Kaga City.
