Fermi America and Mobile Power Solutions Strike Major Agreement



In a significant advancement for energy generation, Fermi America™ (Nasdaq: FRMI) has announced its partnership with Mobile Power Solutions (MPS) that marks a pivotal step towards enhancing power output for the world's largest private hypergrid, Project Matador. This agreement will see Fermi acquiring seven GE TM2500 gas turbines, boasting a total capacity of 157.5 megawatts (MW). This strategic alliance is expected to play a crucial role in solidifying the infrastructure necessary to support the growing energy needs associated with artificial intelligence (AI) development in the U.S.

The partnership features a long-term capital lease agreement, designed to engage and integrate some of the most efficient and adaptable power generation technologies available in the marketplace today. The TM2500 turbines are not only known for their rapid deployment but also for their operational efficiency, making them an integral part of Fermi's comprehensive energy strategy.

Energizing Project Matador



Fermi’s Project Matador aims to create a robust 11GW HyperGrid™, integrating various energy sources including natural gas, nuclear, solar power, and advanced battery storage systems. The inclusion of the TM2500 turbines will facilitate the delivery of fast, firm, and reliable energy starting in early 2026, while also contributing to Fermi's initial goal of achieving 500 MW of generation capacity.

A Long-Term Vision



The partnership with Mobile Power Solutions is set to last for 20 years, indicating a deep-seated collaboration aimed at ensuring reliability, efficiency, and the secure provision of energy across the grid. The turbines are expected to be delivered by the fourth quarter of 2025, just in time for the grid transition period, where flexibility in power resources will be paramount.
