Unique Collaboration at Toranomon Hills: Literature, Photography, and Sushi Event

Unique Fusion at Toranomon Hills

Toranomon Station Tower's 4th floor hosts a remarkable event from September 1 to October 31, 2026, at "Toranomon Raki." To celebrate the publication of photographer Ayaka Endo's book, 'Ayaka Endo: Kanoko', visitors can enjoy a visual and culinary feast at the event titled 'Eat, See, Read.'

The centerpiece of this event is the exclusive photographic exhibition showcasing works inspired by Kanoko Okamoto's treasured short story, 'Sushi.' Here, the worlds of literature and photography intertwine, offering a unique experience for all attendees.

The Experience

The event is designed to engage three senses: taste, sight, and intellect, allowing guests to experience a unique blend of the themes from Okamoto's work, Endo's photography, and expertly curated dishes from Toranomon Raki.

See

The exhibition features striking photographs by Ayaka Endo, who is known for her impactful work centered on animals, nature, and human relationships. Attendees can browse the gallery, appreciating her vision and technical skill in a cozy setting.

Read

Guests can dive into the world of 'Ayaka Endo: Kanoko,' the 6th installment in a popular series that pairs Japanese literature with photography. This unique combination ensures that photographs transcend mere illustrations, while the prose enriches the visual experience, creating a dialogue between the two forms.

Eat

The evening culminates in a meticulously crafted Special Dinner Course priced at 15,000 yen (including tax). This course is a culinary interpretation of the story, featuring appetizers, sashimi, grilled dishes, fried items, and a sushi platter. Each course is paired with the book, which guests can choose in Japanese or English, allowing them to bring the experience home and reflect on it after their meal.
