HYLAN's Record-Breaking Fundraising Effort

On September 22, 2025, HYLAN successfully hosted its seventh annual golf tournament at the prestigious Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson, New Jersey. The event was a remarkable success, raising a record-breaking total of $125,000 for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF). This impressive amount reflects the strong contributions of industry partners, colleagues, and local community members who gathered for a day dedicated to camaraderie and philanthropy.

HYLAN, recognized as a leader in providing comprehensive communications solutions and utility construction services, has consistently shown its commitment to community service. Since its inception six years ago, the annual tournament has raised nearly half a million dollars, primarily benefiting local charities in New Jersey. This year's allocation will significantly enhance the resources available to families affected by pediatric cancer, who often navigate tremendous challenges during difficult times.

The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting these families. ECF offers a variety of services, including free in-home counseling, material assistance, and emergency financial aid, to over 2,000 families annually. Representatives from the foundation attended the event to assist throughout the day and accept the generous donation at the evening reception.

A particularly touching moment during the event was when a young three-time cancer survivor, now in remission, courageously shared his inspiring story. His heartfelt testimony served as a moving reminder of the tangible difference that compassionate contributions can make in the lives of families facing the overwhelming challenge of battling cancer.

The tournament featured several contests on the course such as “Beat the Pro,” “Closest to the Pin,” “Longest Drive,” and the highly anticipated hole-in-one contest, which featured a luxurious Mercedes-Benz prize sponsored by Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz of Edison. Although no one drove home in the luxury vehicle, the friendly competition brought much excitement and engagement.

The event culminated in a lively dinner and awards reception, where attendees gathered to celebrate the day's accomplishments. The evening was lightened by a DJ who entertained guests while prizes and raffle winners were announced, providing a joyful and fitting end to a successful fundraising endeavor.
