Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), a well-known private investment firm, has announced the exciting appointment of Andy Callahan as an Operating Advisor to its funds. Andy Callahan is no stranger to the industry. With an impressive career spanning 29 years, he has held key leadership roles at various major companies, including Hostess Brands, Tyson Foods, and Kraft Foods. Most recently, Callahan served as President and CEO of Hostess Brands from 2018 to 2023. Under his leadership, Hostess, a noted snacking company with revenue exceeding $1.4 billion, undertook numerous initiatives to enhance growth and profitability.
During his tenure at Hostess, Callahan was instrumental in transforming the company’s operational strategies, which led to significant upticks in their total shareholder return (TSR). His leadership ultimately culminated in the company's acquisition by J.M. Smucker in 2023 for an impressive $5.6 billion—a testament to the successful execution of his vision for growth.

Callahan’s professional journey is underscored by his dedication to building effective teams and executing successful product strategies.
