Hanshow Unveils Nebular Lux at NRF 2026 Europe: A Revolutionary Solution for Retail Efficiency

Hanshow made headlines at the NRF 2026 Retail's Big Show in Europe with the introduction of Nebular Lux, the latest in their line of electronic shelf labels (ESLs). This innovative product is designed to enhance operational responsiveness in-store while promoting sustainability. Utilizing ambient light from the store environment, Nebular Lux significantly cuts daily energy consumption by up to 46% compared to traditional ESLs. This substantial energy reduction translates into significant environmental benefits, preventing approximately 202 tons of CO₂ emissions over a decade for a million-label deployment, thanks to fewer batteries needed for replacements.

The Nebular Lux label operates using a hybrid energy architecture, harnessing ambient light in conjunction with an internal battery. This unique feature allows for enhanced responsiveness in retail operations, catering to the growing demands of retailers who deploy millions of electronic labels for pricing and product information. As retailers strive for operational efficiency, it's essential to balance quick responsiveness with sustainable practices, a challenge that Nebular Lux addresses head-on.

Equipped with low-power electronic components and the fifth-generation HiLPC communication protocol developed by Hanshow, Nebular Lux optimizes energy management and communication within retail settings. This advanced design increases the frequency of localization updates and the duration of LED signaling, accommodating intensive tasks such as order preparation and product restocking without compromising battery life. The end result is superior product availability, heightened operational efficiency, and improved responsiveness in-store.

Philippe Brochard, President of Hanshow’s Advisory Committee, emphasized the importance of this evolution in digital solutions: ''The new generation of in-store digital solutions needs to be not just connected but also more responsive while optimizing energy consumption.” Nebular Lux rises to this challenge by enabling retailers to transform data into actionable strategies swiftly while pushing towards a more sustainable Store Digital Twin rollout.

At NRF 2026, Nebular Lux was prominently showcased within Hanshow’s Store Digital Twin offerings at Hall 6, stand E-020, marking a significant step toward greener retail solutions. Alongside it, Hanshow also introduced NexMate, a smart robotics solution that enhances the Store Digital Twin with intelligent detection and execution capabilities, showcasing their commitment to robust, environmentally friendly innovation in the retail sector.

As digital operations in retail evolve, solutions like Nebular Lux not only enhance task responsiveness but also align with long-term sustainability goals, making them invaluable assets for modern retailers. With this transformation in technology, Hanshow continues to lead the way in creating a greener and more efficient future for retail operations.
