As we head towards the end of 2026, Nippon Kodo, the renowned incense manufacturer based in Chuo, Tokyo, is set to unveil its latest product, the "Disney Incense: Fragrance of the Sunny Forest," on August 3, coinciding with the Day of Honey. This launch is particularly special as it marks the centennial of the original release of Winnie the Pooh. Fans attending the "Winnie the Pooh 100th Anniversary Commemorative Exhibition" at the Daimaru Kobe Store, from July 22, will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase this product ahead of its general release.

Concept and Aroma

The fragrance is designed around the theme, "The warmth of the forest is always by your side," encapsulating the charm of Winnie the Pooh's adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood. The scent aims to evoke warm memories, providing comfort and encouragement as we move through life's journey.

This unique incense features a base of woody notes, infused with the sweetness of honey, which Pooh is famously fond of. It has been artfully blended to create a fragrance that is both enjoyable for personal use and suitable for special moments shared with loved ones.

Packaging Design

The packaging is just as delightful as the scent itself, featuring charming artwork inspired by Christopher Robin's fond memories of Pooh. Designed as a stand-up box, it allows the product to be easily displayed. Additionally, character art adorns the inner dividers, enhancing the overall aesthetic. For those new to incense, a burner is included to ensure a smooth experience.

Pricing and Varieties

The flagship incense, "Disney Incense: Fragrance of the Sunny Forest," will be available for a suggested retail price of 700 yen (excluding tax), with a net weight of approximately 40 grams and a burning time of about 25 minutes. For those seeking a smaller option, a mini version is also set to launch, priced at 600 yen (excluding tax), offering around 30 grams and a burning time of approximately 15 minutes.

Additional Launches

In September 2026, collectors can expect the second installment of products celebrating Winnie the Pooh's 100th anniversary.

Additionally, earlier in March 2025, Nippon Kodo introduced the first wave of their Disney incense series, which features three different scents inspired by heartwarming greetings from beloved Disney characters. These fragrances, designed to enhance daily moments, include "Good Morning Scent" (Orange), "Welcome Home Scent" (Milk Tea), and "Good Night Scent" (Berry).

For even more enchantment, a "Disney Princess" incense line was announced for release in September 2025, featuring unique fragrances based on Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Rapunzel, providing a celebratory ambiance for fans.
