Recognized for 9 Consecutive Years as Tokyo Sports Promotion Company

Company Achievements and Recognition in Sports Promotion

We are thrilled to announce that our company has been recognized for the ninth consecutive year by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as a “Tokyo Sports Promotion Company” for the fiscal year 2025. This recognition validates our commitment to promoting sports activities among employees and our support for the sports sector. The certification is valid for three years, extending through the end of December 2028.

The title “Tokyo Sports Promotion Company” is awarded to organizations that excel in initiatives aimed at enhancing sports participation and supporting the sports community within Tokyo. Our efforts in this area include employing athletes, sponsoring associations and the J-League, as well as organizing support events for our employees and engaging in regional promotion activities through soccer.

Our Key Initiatives

1. Employment of Athletes and Promotion of Sports
We run several sports teams, including the Ichigo Weightlifting Team, Ichigo Track and Field Team, and Ichigo Tennis Team. In 2024, we welcomed athlete Riri Endo to the Weightlifting Team and Shizuho Moriyama to the Track and Field Team, while also establishing a Tennis Team featuring professional player Yuto Oki. We are proud to support these promising athletes in their journey of unwavering dedication and commitment to competing on a global platform. Additionally, we act as sponsors for the Japan Weightlifting Association and Miyazaki Track and Field Association, lending our support to the advancement of various sports.

2. J-League Top Partner and Regional Promotion through Soccer
Our commitment extends beyond sports promotion; we resonate with the philosophy of co-developing communities advocated by the J-League. We proudly became a Top Partner of the J-League in 2019 and have worked diligently to enrich local society through this partnership. Furthermore, we have introduced a lottery-based “Ichigo J-League Shareholder and Investor Privilege” program, granting our shareholders and investors access to J-League matches, an initiative that has provided spots for roughly 11,000 sporting events annually. In 2025, we plan to host events such as “Ichigo Presents Friendly Room” and “Ichigo Presents Talk Show: Insights from Former J-League Players on Pursuing Dreams” to foster deeper engagement with sports through soccer.

3. Internal Activities
To promote sports among our employees, we have established various sports clubs, including futsal, running, golf, and baseball. These clubs function as a part of our employee welfare program and receive support for their activities. We have also created an original exercise routine, the “Ichigo Yuru-Fuwa Exercise,” which is played during our online morning meetings. In addition to this, we participate in local tug-of-war tournaments and organize employee support during domestic competitions, enhancing internal sports engagement.

4. An Active Office Environment
In 2024, our new office in Marunouchi was designed with a focus on promoting movement and enhancing employee wellness. We introduced a free-address system, standing desks, and adjustable stools to support active postures. The layout encourages walking and interaction among employees, naturally increasing activity levels. As a result, we achieved the highest CASBEE Wellness Office evaluation certification, earning an S rank in 2025.

As a responsible organization, we are dedicated to advancing sports initiatives and enhancing our employees' participation in physical activities. Our commitment as a “Sustainable Infrastructure Company” drives us to improve health and comfort for all, contributing to a richer living environment.
