Footprints to Recovery Launches Comprehensive Mental Health Program in Colorado
Footprints to Recovery Colorado Introduces New Outpatient Mental Health Program
Release Date: May 21, 2025
In an exciting development for the mental health community, Footprints to Recovery, a member of the Aliya Health Group network, has officially launched a new outpatient mental health treatment program at its facility in Aurora, Colorado. This initiative, which begins on May 27, 2025, focuses on providing essential support for individuals grappling with various mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and personality disorders.
This expansion marks a significant milestone for Footprints to Recovery, a center already recognized for its excellence in treating substance use disorders. The newly introduced mental health program offers three tailored service options: Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and traditional outpatient care—ensuring that clients have access to flexible and comprehensive non-residential treatment solutions. While inpatient services are not currently available at the Aurora and Centennial locations, anyone needing more intensive support will be referred to suitable services as needed.
Dr. Vahid Osman, the Psychiatric Medical Director at Footprints to Recovery, expressed enthusiasm over this launch, stating, "We are thrilled to offer extended services that meet the rising demand for high-quality and accessible mental health care in Colorado. Having reliable support during mental health crises is crucial, and our team is dedicated to helping individuals navigate their challenges towards healing."
Under the guidance of Dr. Osman, a team comprising skilled psychiatric nurse practitioners and licensed therapists will lead the program. The treatment will encompass a diverse array of evidence-based and holistic therapies including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, clients will be able to partake in alternative therapies like music therapy, yoga, accudetox (acupuncture detoxification), and equine therapy depending on clinical needs.
David Johnson, M.Ed., the Chief Executive Officer of Aliya Health Group, highlighted the importance of mental health care today. He noted, "Delivering exceptional mental health services is crucial now more than ever. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing compassionate and personalized care, and expanding our services in Colorado helps us better support and uplift our local communities while remaining aligned with our mission to heal the mind, body, and spirit."
With this new initiative, Footprints to Recovery continues to demonstrate its commitment to adapting to the changing behavioral health landscape and meeting the needs of individuals and families throughout Colorado. By enhancing its range of services, the center ensures that individuals facing mental health challenges receive the necessary professional support right in their communities.
