Kurosaki Sync: A Unique Exchange Event Uniting Local Businesses

On October 8th and 15th, 2025, the Kurosaki Sync event took place in Yahatanishi Ward, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture. This event was designed to inspire connections and discoveries among local businesses and organizations, focusing on young professionals. During the event, participants engaged in the next-generation digital sports, SASSEN and Cyber KASSEN, with the operation managed by the All Japan SASSEN Association's Kitakyushu branch.

Kurosaki Sync is more than just an event; it promotes networking and collaboration across different industries. This year's theme centered on team building through sports, leading all attendees to participate in SASSEN and Cyber KASSEN team battles.

Experience of SASSEN

In SASSEN, as the initial tension from the competition eased, the atmosphere transformed into one filled with enthusiasm. Participants were heard shouting, "Let’s use our special moves!" and "I want to defeat that person!" As they progressed into the second and subsequent matches, strategic adjustments were made based on the opponent's gameplay, demonstrating the evolution of tactics in a competitive environment. This level of engagement emphasized not only skill but also communication and teamwork among strangers.

Insights from Cyber KASSEN

Similarly, during the Cyber KASSEN games, teamwork was essential. Participants openly consulted each other on attack strategies. The camaraderie formed within teams surpassed the mere outcome of winning or losing, creating a powerful sense of unity and collaboration. Such a dynamic is particularly impressive given the fact that many teammates had just met one another.

Feedback from participants highlighted how natural communication developed throughout the event. Comments like, "It was fun to strategize," and "Despite it being a sport, we had so many conversations that we felt closer to each other" reflect the successful integration of interaction alongside competition.
