Dahua Technology Unveils Visible AI Innovations for Renewable Energy at Intersolar Europe 2026
Dahua Technology Presents AI Innovations for Renewable Energy
Dahua Technology, a global leader in artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (AIoT) solutions, recently unveiled its cutting-edge technology at the Intersolar Europe 2026 event held in Munich. Under the banner of "Visible Artificial Intelligence in Renewable Energy," the company showcased how AIoT can significantly improve efficiency, reliability, and security across the energy value chain, from production and transmission to consumption.
Comprehensive Portfolio of Solutions
During the exhibition, Dahua introduced a wide range of solutions targeting five key application areas: intelligent security, device control, occupational health and safety (OHS), electric vehicle charging, and smart control centers. These innovations aim to address the increasing demand for smarter operations, safer workplaces, and more efficient asset management in renewable energy infrastructure.
In the realm of intelligent security, Dahua featured perimeter protection solutions specifically designed for photovoltaic (PV) plants and energy facilities. These advanced systems incorporate thermal imaging, radar camera connectivity, multi-lens monitoring, and solar-powered wireless security. Notably, the proprietary thermal algorithms developed by Dahua extended detection ranges by up to 85%. In a PV project in Brazil, the solution succeeded in reducing over 1,000 daily false alarms from 204 devices to roughly one alarm per device per week. Similarly, in a 60 MW solar park in Romania, Dahua's AI-powered perimeter security solutions were successfully deployed.
Device Control and Monitoring Solutions
For device control, Dahua unveiled intelligent monitoring solutions tailored for substations and geographically distributed energy assets. By continuously monitoring temperature and operational status, the system enables operators to pinpoint potential abnormalities at an early stage. Automated logging and reporting further support predictive maintenance strategies, enhancing operational efficiency while minimizing the workload of manual inspections.
Ensuring Workplace Safety
Dahua also introduced its OHS management framework, which comprises both fixed and portable AI-driven detection systems. These solutions automatically verify whether personnel entering high-risk areas are wearing the necessary protective gear, such as helmets and safety vests, and provide real-time alerts when discrepancies are detected. This capability helps reinforce compliance with safety regulations across all energy facilities.
The company also exhibited its range of electric vehicle charging solutions, featuring alternating current (AC) charging for residential scenarios and direct current (DC) fast charging for commercial applications. These solutions, supported by a cloud management platform and a mobile app, empower users to monitor charging status, configure charging plans, and oversee charging operations with increased flexibility and convenience.
Smart Control Center Integration
Complementing these applications, Dahua's smart control center integrates security, control, and operational management into a unified platform utilizing DSS Professional technology. This platform facilitates remote video monitoring, alarm management, task scheduling for inspections, and historical data analysis, providing operators with a centralized overview of onsite operations. In Italy, Dahua's thermal perimeter protection system and DSS Professional platform enabled centralized management of remote solar locations, subsequently expanding coverage to 80 sites with approximately 1,600 thermal cameras.
These innovative solutions underscore Dahua's commitment to advancing the renewable energy sector through smart technology and comprehensive lifecycle protection. The company plans to continue its collaboration with global partners in exploring innovative AI applications that promote a safer, more efficient, and sustainable energy future.
