New Beginnings: Toyota Connected's 2026 Entrance Ceremony
Toyota Connected, headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi, held its 2026 entrance ceremony to welcome 28 new employees into the fold. This year's recruitment effort extended beyond Japan, incorporating 23 new graduates from domestic universities and five graduates from Indian postgraduate institutions. This marks the second consecutive year that Toyota Connected has embraced talent from India, reflecting its commitment to global diversity and expertise.

As Toyota Connected seeks to enhance its role as a Global Headquarters (GHQ), the company has strategically focused on hiring advanced professionals in digital and AI fields internationally. Working closely with universities in India, recruitment activities were conducted on-site to attract top candidates with specialized skills in AI and data science. The integration of such expertise not only fortifies Toyota Connected’s expansion into AI applications but also catalyzes the development of innovative technologies and new business ventures.

Highlights from the Entrance Ceremony
All new employees this year will join the Technical Division at Toyota Connected. Among them, two engineers from India shared their aspirations at the ceremony.
Koppisetty Lavanya Sri
Koppisetty shared her journey, “I first heard about Toyota Connected when a senior colleague joined last year. The opportunity to provide value to people worldwide through mobility services that connect humans and vehicles greatly attracted me to apply. Living in Japan has its surprises compared to my home country, but I aim to grow into an engineer who can contribute positively to society.”
Yendu Rupalana
Yendu expressed her ambitions as well by stating, “At Toyota Connected, I want to accumulate experience as a software engineer. My future goal is to become an engineer who can create user-friendly and convenient applications. To achieve this, I will continue to improve my Japanese skills as well as my technical knowledge.”

Yoko Matsuo, a director and head of the Human Resources Division, commented on the significance of the new hires, stating, “Welcoming 28 new colleagues today is incredibly reassuring.
