Bibigo Showcases Korean Cuisine to Global Consumers at Milan Winter Olympics

Celebrating Korean Cuisine at the Winter Olympics in Milan

In the heart of Milan, amidst the excitement of the Winter Olympics, CJ Foods is making a significant impact with its global brand, bibigo. The company has set up an interactive booth known as the bibigo Zone at Korea House, operated by the Korean Sport and Olympic Committee (KSOC). This unique initiative aims to introduce visitors to the rich flavors of Korean food from February 5 to 22, 2026, at the historic Villa Necchi Campiglio.

As attendees explore the carefully curated exhibits of Korean culture, they will have the opportunity to indulge in a diverse selection of bibigo’s signature offerings. The booth features popular items inspired by the vibrant convenience store culture of Seoul, making it a must-visit spot for anyone eager to experience authentic Korean flavors.

Among the stars of the show are bibigo Ramyun noodles, available in exciting new flavors such as Korean BBQ and Kimchi, specifically launched for the European market. These flavorful noodles join other beloved bibigo products that include delicious mandu (Korean dumplings), chicken, seaweed, tteokbokki, and kimchi. Visitors who follow bibigo on Instagram during their visit can enjoy complimentary tastings, making this a delightful culinary experience.

Stephan Czypionka, the global marketing director of CJ Foods, expressed his enthusiasm for this event, stating, "We hope this initiative will serve as a fantastic opportunity to introduce bibigo and Korean cuisine to a broader global audience." With bibigo's growing popularity, they continue to find innovative methods to promote the unique tastes of Korean cuisine through engaging marketing activities.

CJ Foods has been participating in Korea House initiatives since the 2024 Paris Olympics, where they notably featured a pop-up that quickly sold out of its popular menu items, proving the demand for K-Food. Their dynamic presence in Europe is underscored by their previous successes in Paris, where they served an impressive 500 prepared dishes daily.

The expansion into the European food market reflects CJ Foods' strategic vision for the growth of K-Food. Since acquiring the German frozen food company Mainfrost in 2018, CJ Foods has expanded its operations, establishing subsidiaries in the UK, France, and Hungary. Currently, bibigo products are available in 27 European countries, with annual sales exceeding 100 billion KRW in their European food segment for the first time in 2024. Moreover, sales experienced a notable increase of 25% year-on-year in the early quarters of 2025.

To sustain this growth and meet rising local demand, CJ Foods is actively constructing a new factory in Budapest, Hungary, with plans for completion by the end of this year. This facility will specialize in the production of bibigo dumplings and chicken tailored for the European market.
