SUNMI Unveils Innovative Windows Product Line for Smart Retail Solutions

At the recent SUNMI Developer Conference 2026 (SDC 2026) held on October 23, SUNMI Technology (06810.HK) made a significant announcement by unveiling its latest product family featuring Windows operating systems tailored for commercial use. This latest series marks SUNMI's first foray into the x86/Windows terminal market since 2013, offering a much-needed expansion beyond its existing Android-based IoT devices. The new lineup includes the FLEX 3 WIN available in three sizes - 18.5 inches, 21.5 inches, and 27 inches, alongside the T3 PRO WIN and T3 PRO MAX WIN.

The introduction of these products reflects SUNMI's understanding of the current retail environment, where many businesses are still reliant on Windows-based core systems such as ERP, inventory management, and point-of-sale software. As discussed by Frank Yuan, Co-President of SUNMI, the philosophy behind this product line is clear: technology should adapt to business processes rather than require the processes to adjust to technological constraints. This new range allows businesses to upgrade their hardware and implement device-based AI without the need to overhaul well-established software systems or interrupt current workflows.

Furthermore, Mariya Zorotovich, General Manager of Consumer Industry, Intel, emphasized the combination of Intel's Edge AI technology with SUNMI's retail expertise to create scalable solutions that enhance retailers' AI capabilities in real-time environments. The product range, powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, boasts device-based AI computing capabilities of up to 21 TOPS. This facilitates local AI inference for applications like AI-driven sales and intelligent checkout systems, effectively reducing reliance on cloud processing.

Running on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC, this platform is designed for long-term stability in commercial settings. Notably, the FLEX 3 WIN models have received independent certification as part of Intel® Premium POS certification program, ensuring they meet high performance and reliability standards.

Moreover, an important aspect of this new line is its compatibility with existing Android devices, presenting a unified ecosystem for businesses. This allows organizations to manage both Windows and Android devices through the SUNMI Device Management Platform (DMP), enabling remote monitoring, mass configuration, over-the-air updates, and troubleshooting capabilities seamlessly across platforms. These solutions have been fine-tuned in collaboration with software partners from various sectors including specialty retail, supermarkets, and clothing chains to ensure they meet the specific needs of the market.

Initiating global orders on October 22, SUNMI has announced that deliveries will commence in November across Europe, with plans to extend availability to other international markets shortly thereafter. Alongside this launch, SUNMI released a white paper in partnership with Intel focused on the transformation of AI in retail, underlining the broader implications of their technological advancements in the sector.

In summary, SUNMI Technology is positioned to significantly impact the commercial landscape with this Windows-based product suite. By bridging the gap between traditional software systems and cutting-edge AI capabilities, SUNMI provides businesses with the tools necessary to thrive in an increasingly digitized retail environment.
