SHPT Makes a Grand Entrance at the World Hydrogen Summit in Netherlands
SHPT's European Debut at the World Hydrogen Summit
From May 19 to 21, 2026, the 7th World Hydrogen Summit and Exhibition took place in Rotterdam, Netherlands, presenting a pivotal gathering for the hydrogen energy sector. This event attracted a massive audience of 18,500 participants, including government officials from over 100 countries and delegates from more than 500 companies.
This summit marked a significant milestone for SHPT as the company showcased its cutting-edge products, including the flagship fuel cell stack PROME M4H and the fuel cell system P4H. Attendees were particularly intrigued by the Series-5 innovations, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, practical applications, and international collaborations that SHPT highlighted at its booth. The company's core competencies in research and development, intelligent manufacturing, and market promotion were also emphasized, drawing keen interest from an international audience, including potential clients from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Chile, South Korea, Turkey, and others, all eager to explore collaboration opportunities.
In addition to the exhibition, SHPT participated in high-level international dialogues surrounding hydrogen energy. A focal point of their discussions was the China-Netherlands Hydrogen Energy Forum, which was organized by esteemed bodies including the China Hydrogen Alliance, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, and the Port of Rotterdam Authority. This forum aimed to uncover pathways for building a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem, addressing the nuances of both markets.
During the 'Next Generation Mobility Hydrogen Fuelling Heavy Freight' thematic forum, moderated by Dr. Emma Guthrie, the CEO of the UK Hydrogen Energy Association, SHPT's Head of Product Development and Operations, Lv Jiaming, shared insights on China’s hydrogen and fuel cell vehicle industry. He detailed significant achievements alongside ongoing challenges in the realms of policy, standards, technology, and application scenarios.
Lv underscored the intricate dynamics of the European market, emphasizing that fuel cell vehicles for heavy-duty transportation are on the cusp of commercialization for medium and long-haul durations. This optimistic outlook is further supported by increasing support from various countries and regions in advancing research and pilot projects involving hydrogen fuel cell-powered heavy-duty trucks.
Concluding its Netherlands tour, SHPT reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating its expansion within the European market. The company aims to leverage its expertise to share the Chinese fuel cell value chain with global partners and collaboratively establish the necessary conditions for technical cooperation, innovative business models, and a robust industrial ecosystem for hydrogen energy.
In a landscape where sustainable energy solutions are increasingly vital, SHPT's involvement at the World Hydrogen Summit is a testament to its proactive approach in becoming a significant player in the hydrogen energy sector, paving the way for future collaborations and advancements.
