Attention all cat lovers! Tama, a premium cat food specialty store, is excited to announce the launch of a photo contest for the 2026 edition of its original calendar. This year, the theme is "Extraordinarily Cute!" We encourage all cat owners to submit adorable photos showcasing their beloved feline friends.

Overview of the Contest

The "Tama Original Calendar" is an annual project where we collect heartwarming and cute photos of cats from our customers and fans across the nation. We are currently accepting entries for photos that will be featured from July to December 2026. The theme, as mentioned, is "Extraordinarily Cute!" Capture the charm and cuteness of the cats you live with and send in your submissions!

Contest Details:

• - Submission Period: July 15 (Tuesday) to August 31 (Sunday) until 23:59.
• - Prize: Participants whose photos are selected for the calendar will receive a coupon worth 2,222 yen that can be used at Tama.
• - Submission Limit: There is no limit to the number of photos entrants can submit. Participants can enter as many times as they like.
• - Notification: Selected contributors will be contacted around October 2025 during the calendar production phase.

Ideal Photo Examples

We are looking for great quality photos! Here are examples of what we consider as positive submissions and those we would prefer to avoid:

Acceptable Examples:

• - Clear backgrounds that don’t distract from the cat.
• - Well-focused images where the cat is clear and prominent.
• - Photos taken indoors with good lighting.

Unacceptable Examples:

• - Dark images or those with backlighting.
• - Blurry pictures where the cat is not easily identifiable.
• - Any images featuring a person’s face in the photo.

Past Calendar Editions

The previous editions, "Tama Original Calendar 2024 and 2025," featured many adorable cats from our community. We received an overwhelming response, and we love to see the vibrancy and personalities of cats from all over the country.
