Hexagon's Strategic Leadership Transition

On April 3, 2025, Hexagon AB announced significant changes in its leadership structure with the appointment of Andreas Renulf as President of the Manufacturing Intelligence division, starting on May 1, 2025. This strategic move follows the departure of Josh Weiss, the current President, who will be transitioning to another company. His last day at Hexagon will be at the end of May, allowing for a smooth handover process to ensure no disruptions occur in the division's operations.

A New Era with Andreas Renulf

Andreas Renulf comes to this pivotal role after having served as the Chief Operating Officer and the head of Machine Control within the Geosystems division at Hexagon since January 2024. His tenure has been marked by a commitment to improving operational efficiencies through the promotion of a culture centered around continuous improvement and team collaboration. Before joining Hexagon, he gained extensive experience at Trelleborg, where he led two business units and drove growth through both organic means and mergers and acquisitions while maintaining rigorous cost control.

Andreas’s previous experience also includes thirteen years at ABB, where he held several senior roles, including Vice President of the Oil, Gas, and Petrochemicals business unit in Asia. With a strong academic foundation holding an M.Sc. in Business Administration from Jönköping International Business School, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position.

Embracing Future Technologies

In his new role, Andreas will report directly to Norbert Hanke, who is the interim President and CEO of Hexagon. Hanke expressed his confidence in Andreas’s track record of driving growth and organizational excellence, emphasizing the exciting future that lies ahead for the Manufacturing Intelligence division as it increasingly integrates robotics and autonomous technologies to enhance product lifecycles for customers.

Acknowledging Josh Weiss's Contribution

Josh Weiss has been instrumental in advancing profitability and cash conversion during his decade at Hexagon. His leadership in the Manufacturing Intelligence division has led to substantial improvements, establishing foundations for continued success. Norbert Hanke extended his best wishes to Josh as he embarks on his new professional journey.

The transition marks an important stage for Hexagon as it adapts to the evolving industrial landscape, ensuring that it not only maintains its leadership position but also innovates continuously to meet the dynamic needs of its customers. The leadership change is a pivotal moment aimed at reinforcing the company's commitment to excellence and adaptability in a rapidly changing technological environment.

In summary, Hexagon is positioning itself strategically for future growth and innovation under the new leadership of Andreas Renulf, aiming to optimize the Manufacturing Intelligence division's capabilities and offerings as industry demands evolve. This leadership shift is not just a change in personnel, but a reinforcement of Hexagon's mission to lead in precision technologies worldwide.
