Automotive Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony 2025
The Automotive Hall of Fame (AHF) is thrilled to reveal the details for its 2025 Induction Ceremony, set to take place on September 25, 2025, at The Department at Hudson's in downtown Detroit. This event is poised to be one of the first major public gatherings at this historic venue and will honor individuals whose contributions have significantly shaped the mobility sector.
Being enshrined in the Automotive Hall of Fame is the highest accolade in the global automotive industry, recognizing those whose innovations and leadership have made lasting impacts around the world.
2025 Inductees
This year's inductee class includes:
- - Dieter Zetsche: The visionary leader of Daimler AG, famous for leading Mercedes-Benz into a new era of global success.
- - Ayrton Senna: The three-time Formula 1 World Champion and Brazilian icon, whose exceptional talent and spirit transcended motorsport.
- - Betty Skelton: A pioneering test pilot and land speed record holder known for her influential role in the development and promotion of the Chevrolet Corvette.
- - David E. Davis Jr.: A recognized automotive journalist and founder of Automobile Magazine, celebrated for his innovative narrative that redefined automotive journalism.
Distinguished Speakers
The ceremony will feature an impressive lineup of speakers:
- - Mark Reuss, President of General Motors, will pay tribute to Betty Skelton.
- - Bianca Senna, niece of Ayrton Senna and CEO of Senna Brands, will honor her uncle's legacy.
- - Eddie Alterman, Brand Director of Hearst Autos, will celebrate David E. Davis.
- - Dieter Zetsche will also attend the event to formally accept his homage.
New Partnership
This year’s ceremony marks the beginning of a five-year partnership with the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), who will serve as the presenting partner of the induction event. “We are pleased to host the 2025 Induction Ceremony at The Department at Hudson's, a venue that represents Detroit's rich automotive heritage and its dynamic future,” stated Sarah Cook, President of the Automotive Hall of Fame. “Partnering with MEMA highlights the critical role that suppliers play in advancing the industry.”
