Elementary Students in Tachikawa Experience the F-League Excitement

On June 22, 2026, around 1,000 elementary school students from Tachikawa will be invited to experience the thrill of the F-League, Japan's premier futsal league. This initiative, named the "Asre School Support Project supported by MetLife Life Insurance," marks the beginning of a collaborative journey between Tachikawa Athletic FC and MetLife Life. This project aims to connect local clubs with children and the community, creating memorable experiences that foster a sense of pride and belonging.

Background and Purpose

MetLife Life Insurance operates under the motto, "Walking together towards a more certain future," striving for a society where people can confidently move forward. In its second year of partnership with the F-League, the company is not just focusing on league-wide support but is also emphasizing collaboration with local clubs. The objective is to provide sports-related learning and emotional experiences that resonate with children.

By engaging children in Tachikawa through these activities, the project hopes to instill a sense of appreciation and pride in having a top league sports club in their neighborhood.

Main Activities Planned

1. School-wide Invitation and Collective Viewing

The project will invite all students from Tachi (Tachikawa) City’s Dai-hachi Elementary School and Wakaba-dai Elementary School to attend a home game at the Arena Tachikawa Tachihi, where they will experience the excitement of live sports. Following the game, there will be opportunities for students to interact with the players, enhancing the experience and fostering a connection with the local futsal community. The aim is to spark interest in futsal and other sports among children through this unique exposure.

2. MetLife Life Mini-Presentation

MetLife will host a mini-presentation to share its commitment to the values of “Confidence” as part of their overarching philosophy of supporting children’s growth and development. This presentation will be tailored to be accessible and engaging for the students, helping them understand the importance of confidence in their lives.

3. Distribution of Educational Material (Picture Books)

As part of its efforts, MetLife will distribute educational materials to the children. These resources will focus on themes of confidence and the courage to take on challenges, aiming to empower children to act positively in their own lives.

4. Halftime Cheer Practice

During halftime, a special cheer practice will be held, encouraging all invited elementary students to participate in a collective cheer session led by a DJ. This engaging initiative will let them experience the unique cheer culture of top league sports and the community spirit within the venue as they learn cheers and rhythms used during matches.
