Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy Unveils STAR X Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage System at Intersolar Europe 2026
CNTE Launches Innovative STAR X Energy Storage System at Intersolar Europe 2026
Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy (CNTE) has unveiled its latest large-scale energy storage innovation, the STAR X liquid-cooled energy storage system, at the Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich, Germany. This event, taking place from June 23 to June 25, showcases CNTE's commitment to revolutionizing energy storage with cutting-edge technologies.
Groundbreaking Features of STAR X
The STAR X system is designed for high-end commercial and large-scale applications, offering a remarkable output of 2,800 kW and an energy capacity of 5,644 kWh. Its highly integrated architecture combines both the battery system and the liquid-cooled Power Conversion System (PCS) into a single unit, significantly enhancing safety and deployment speed. The design incorporates fully internal DC wiring and factory pre-commissioning to further streamline project execution.
This system uses third-generation high-capacity battery cells developed by CATL, boasting an impressive lifespan of over 10,000 cycles at 70% State of Health (SOH). It stands out as one of the first integrated liquid-cooled Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) in the market featuring 530 Ah battery packs.
One of the standout features of STAR X is its intelligent cluster control technology, which allows for autonomous management and fault isolation, ensuring system availability exceeds 99%. This intelligent design not only eliminates cluster imbalances but also enhances discharge capacity throughout its lifecycle by 6% while extending the system's life by 5%.
Flexible Configurations and Transport-Ready Design
The STAR X system is adaptable to various project scenarios with configurations ranging from 1 MW/2 MWh to 2.8 MW/5.6 MWh. Users can select between a high-power mode (0.5 P) or a four-hour duration mode (0.25 P). Additionally, the system's transport-friendly design keeps its total weight below 45 tons, satisfying international standards for land and maritime transport.
Further enhancing ease of operation and maintenance, STAR X features a one-click start and stop function, app-based commissioning, wireless updates (OTA), AI-operated fault diagnostics, intelligent life forecasting, and automatic State of Charge (SOC) calibration—all of which simplify onsite maintenance and reduce complexity.
In terms of safety, STAR X comprises a comprehensive multi-level protection architecture that covers cell, module, cluster, and container levels. Continuous online monitoring of insulation adds an extra layer of reliability, ensuring optimal operational safety.
Applications of STAR X
STAR X is strategically designed for various applications including demand response, renewable energy integration, frequency regulation, microgrid support, and grid formation assistance. This launch underscores CNTE's ongoing commitment to facilitating the global energy transition through advanced energy storage technologies.
