Harry's Launches 'Got Your 6' Challenge
In a significant move aimed at improving veteran mental health, Harry's, a prominent men's grooming brand, has introduced the 'Got Your 6' campaign. This innovative initiative invites both veterans and civilian participants to engage in a social media challenge that not only raises awareness but also generates funds to support mental health resources crucial for veterans.
A Commitment to Mental Health
Harry's has long been dedicated to addressing the mental health crisis facing many veterans. With an impressive $2 million already donated to the veteran community, the brand has successfully connected over 127,000 veterans and their families with vital mental health services. The 'Got Your 6' campaign is a continuation of this mission, further solidifying Harry's commitment to making quality mental health care accessible to all.
Co-founder Jeff Raider stated, "Since the inception of Harry's, giving back has been a core aspect of our identity. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, which is why we are wholeheartedly supporting the veteran community."
How the Challenge Works
The 'Got Your 6' challenge is designed to be simple and engaging. Participants are urged to complete six repetitions of their favorite physical activity and post their efforts on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, tagging the military branch they are supporting using the hashtag #GotYour6.
Here's how to participate:
1.
Record yourself performing six reps of an exercise—be it push-ups, pull-ups, or even a six-mile run.
2.
Share your video on social media, ensuring to tag your supporting military branch (e.g., #NavyGotYour6).
3.
Tag six friends to keep the challenge going!
For each post shared under this initiative, Harry's will donate $6 to its partnered nonprofit organizations, aiming to contribute up to $300,000 in total. These funds will be distributed among five respected nonprofits, including Stop Soldier Suicide, The Headstrong Project, One Tribe Foundation, Team RWB, and the Bob Woodruff Foundation. The goal is to foster a strong sense of solidarity and support for veterans, emphasizing that Harry's stands firmly behind them.
Engaging the Community
The campaign also features a dedicated Veterans Council composed of representatives from the partner nonprofits to guide Harry's efforts within the veteran community. Furthermore, popular veteran influencers such as Daven Gates and Tyler Butterworth are involved in spreading the word and rallying support for this meaningful cause.
Brian E. Kinsella, Co-Founder and Chairman of Stop Soldier Suicide, expressed his gratitude towards Harry's efforts, saying, "Our military community, alongside their families, deserves unwavering support, especially during tough times. The Got Your 6 Challenge is pivotal in driving essential conversations about mental health, and Harry's is taking concrete steps to positively impact veterans' lives."
Your Role in the 'Got Your 6' Challenge
Taking part in the 'Got Your 6' challenge not only promotes well-being but also serves a larger purpose: showing appreciation and support for our veterans. This campaign exemplifies how simple actions can lead to significant change. Harry's initiative highlights the importance of mental health awareness and actively seeks to combat the stigma surrounding mental health issues faced by many veterans today.
