This revolutionary vehicle is tailored to meet the rigorous demands of logistics companies, focusing on critical aspects such as range, charging speed, operational availability, and overall efficiency throughout its lifecycle.

Development Journey

XCMG initiated the development of the Hanjing in 2023, conducting extensive field research at key freight hubs and collaborating with major logistics firms. These efforts aimed to gather essential data on range, charging capabilities, efficiency, and reliability. As a result, XCMG engineers focused on optimizing the electric powertrain, centralized thermal management, torque distribution, and regenerative braking systems to enhance the truck's performance for real-world long-haul applications.

Innovative Features

The Hanjing is equipped with an aerodynamic driver cabin, a purpose-built integrated electric drive axle, and intelligent controls designed to reduce energy consumption. Its innovative 800-volt architecture supports megawatt-level rapid charging, enabling the battery to recharge from 20% to 80% in under 20 minutes. The truck's structure utilizes 1,500-MPa hot-formed steel and includes multiple thermal protection systems for the battery, prioritizing both vehicle and battery safety. Additionally, features such as a central domain controller and navigation-assisted driving system support drivers during long journeys.

Before its market release, the Hanjing underwent rigorous testing under extreme conditions, including high heat, severe cold, elevated altitudes, and water crossings, alongside crash tests. Significantly, it completed a 24-hour endurance test at the Yancheng testing facility, where it successfully covered 2,198 kilometers while fully loaded at a permissible gross weight of 49 tons, demonstrating its capabilities under challenging long-distance heavy transport conditions.

Integrated Management Solutions

To support its customers, XCMG not only delivers the Hanjing but also provides comprehensive charging infrastructure, connected fleet management, and lifecycle services. This integrated system streamlines vehicle management, charging, and daily operations. The connected vehicle platform allows fleet operators to monitor vehicle status and energy consumption, enabling them to optimize vehicle selection and charging based on their routes.

Market Performance

From January to July 2026, XCMG secured the top position in China for heavy truck sales powered by new energy, marking three consecutive years of leading sales. Furthermore, XCMG trucks are exported to markets in Indonesia, Thailand, Guinea, and various African nations. A notable mining customer in Indonesia recently ordered an additional 100 units, building upon their previous acquisition of over 150 electric 8×4 tipper trucks with a capacity of 600 kWh.

Prior to the Hanjing's official launch, XCMG also unveiled new energy commercial vehicles and transport solutions catered to the construction and logistics sectors at the IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover.
