Celebrating the Inner Beauty at the Aphros Queen Award 2026
On July 11, 2026, the Aphros Queen Award was held, focusing on the significant journeys of 47 finalists who emphasized inner beauty through their diverse experiences over 180 days. Organized by the General Incorporated Association Shin Kenbi and held at the EBiS303 event hall in Shibuya, this remarkable contest aimed to empower women by presenting their growth in areas such as confidence, self-love, and humanity.
The unique aspect of the Aphros Queen Award is its distinction from traditional beauty contests that often prioritize external appearances. Instead, this contest encourages participants aged 20 to 70 to engage deeply with their inner selves. The finalists, chosen from across the nation, underwent a transformation program known as the Aphros Academy®, which comprises various aspects of mind, health, and beauty education.
The competition began with the finalists showcasing their personal growth and transformations, reflecting the lessons learned during their 180-day experience. Each finalist presented their inner beauty through walking and speeches, demonstrating their unique personalities and confidence.
The special judging panel, including the well-respected industry figure MEGUMI, carefully evaluated the finalists based on not only their stage performances but also the overall growth they achieved throughout the academy. After much anticipation, Shino Fukuhara was crowned the Grand Prix winner. She expressed immense gratitude for the recognition and shared her path of discovery, stating that happiness is self-determined and people can truly change.
A Journey of Inner Transformation
The 180-day program at Aphros Academy® is designed to foster participants’ inner beauty and potential. With daily online mentorship and weekly sessions to delve into various themes, the finalists worked tirelessly to enhance their inner selves. This transformative journey engages women in a deep introspection, allowing them to confront personal challenges and emerge stronger.
MEGUMI's presence added to the event's allure. She participated in a talk event, sharing her insights on self-confidence and the importance of sustaining a routine that amplifies one’s inner beauty. She emphasized that true beauty comes from a combination of external appearances and the resolute efforts one makes daily.
Moving Forward: Empowering Women
The Aphros Queen Award not only recognizes individual achievements but also promotes a broader message about the essential role of women's empowerment in society. Kazumi Genbo, the representative director of Shin Kenbi, highlighted that change is possible at any stage of life. The process of self-development and the courage to pursue beauty from within is a continuous journey.
Having been established in 2015, the Aphros Queen Award aims to create a space focused on inner beauty and growth rather than superficial elements. This initiative is more than a contest; it serves as a platform that inspires women to shine in their own right and encourages them to be catalysts for change in their communities. The emphasis on inner growth and self-love speaks to the essence of what it means to be truly beautiful.
As the event concluded, both the audience and participants left with a renewed sense of purpose, motivated to champion self-love and personal growth. The journey of the Aphros Queen will continue to be a source of inspiration, reminding everyone that beauty radiates from within and that every woman carries the potential to be a queen.
