The 4th RCEP (Shandong) Import Expo: A Platform for Global Trade



The 4th RCEP (Shandong) Import Expo kicked off on June 27, 2025, at the heart of Linyi City in Shandong Province, China. This year's event has demonstrated a robust commitment to fostering international trade and collaboration among multiple countries. With an impressive space of 35,000 square meters, the expo features 1,200 booths and has attracted around 15,000 visitors on its very first day.

The expo included participation from 348 enterprises spanning 66 countries and regions, such as Malaysia, Cambodia, Japan, and South Korea. Among these, 247 international companies took part, highlighting the event's appeal and global reach. A notable 179 of these enterprises hail from member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), while another 51 are from partners of the Belt and Road Initiative. This diverse participation showcases the event's ambition to serve as a prominent exchange platform for domestic and international businesses.

Pavilion Highlights and Industry Innovations



The expo has uniquely structured its layout to house 17 national pavilions and 7 international sister-city pavilions. This strategic approach has attracted 28 cross-border e-commerce enterprises, including recognized names like Wildberries and Voghion. Significant trade associations such as the China-Africa Business Council, and Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) also made their presence felt, creating opportunities for enhanced business ties.

For the first time, dedicated areas for smart technology and multinational corporations have been established. This year’s event featured 18 leading tech firms, including Tesla, and 11 Fortune Global 500 companies like CP Group and Amazon, all showcasing innovative solutions and advanced technologies that provide a glimpse into the future of commerce.

Major Events and Agreements



The expo wasn't just about displays; it also hosted major events like a China International Import Expo (CIIE) roadshow and various industry promotion conferences. Attendees witnessed the signing of multiple cooperation agreements, which aim to enrich the foreign trade services and enhance the supply chain capabilities for online platforms.

In partnership with eight major trading markets, including hotel supplies and international food markets, the expo facilitated on-site procurement activities with well-known supermarket chains and esteemed international procurement teams based across Shandong Province. This integration has effectively connected local manufacturers with distribution enterprises, fostering local economic growth.

To further support local businesses in penetrating both domestic and global markets, the expo established dedicated exhibition areas for high-quality export goods and consumer products.

Integration of Online and Offline Experiences



A highlight of this year’s expo is its pioneering integration of online and offline experiences, creating a hybrid model that blends industry, exhibition, logistics, and digital solutions. This initiative elevates the expo into a comprehensive platform for resource integration. As a result, it enhances Linyi's reputation as a hub for commerce, logistics, and industrial development.
