Delta Electronics Expands in EMEA
Delta Electronics, a leading name in energy management and smart green solutions, is set to construct a new regional headquarters in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. Announced on July 9, 2025, this expansion marks a pivotal moment in Delta's commitment to sustainable technology in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region.
New Headquarters: A Landmark Initiative
The upcoming facility, designed to occupy approximately 9,300 square meters at the renowned Park 20|20 business campus, aims to achieve net-zero energy status along with the prestigious BREEAM Outstanding certification. Expected to be completed by the end of 2026, the headquarters will provide modern workspace for over 350 employees dedicated to research and development, business growth, and management.
This site has garnered immense support at both regional and national levels. Marianne Schuurmans, Mayor of Haarlemmermeer, expressed enthusiasm for welcoming Delta, stating, "This region is ideal for forward-looking companies, and the dedication of Delta to energy efficiency aligns perfectly with our vision for a sustainable future."
At the national level, Hilde van der Meer, Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency Commissioner, welcomed Delta's expansion wholeheartedly. She noted the significant impact of Delta's innovative technologies on the Dutch economy, enhancing its reputation as a hub for sustainability and innovation.
Strategic Location and Design
Dalip Sharma, President and CEO of Delta Electronics EMEA, emphasized the strategic advantages of Hoofddorp, citing its proximity to key clients, partners, and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport as ideal for ongoing operations. The building's design has been a collaborative effort with leading architects, MVSA Architects, and aims to foster innovation and cooperation among its teams.
The facility will feature a five-story central atrium, optimally bringing natural light into workspaces, and dedicated areas for showcasing Delta's latest technologies. State-of-the-art meeting facilities and creative zones further aim to enhance employee well-being.
Cutting-edge Sustainability Features
Sustainability sits at the core of this new building's ethos. Roughly 715 solar panels installed on its rooftop are expected to generate over 335,500 kWh of renewable energy annually, covering the building's expected energy consumption. In addition, innovative architectural designs, advanced climate ceilings, and a connection to Park 20|20’s geothermal central heating and cooling system will exemplify Delta's commitment to the highest environmental standards.
Also included are 126 underground parking spots and charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs), promoting a low-carbon transportation system for employees.
The establishment of this new headquarters not only enhances Delta's presence in the EMEA region but solidifies its role as a center for innovative energy solutions and sustainable growth, aligning with the global environmental goals necessary for combating climate change.
