As of May 2025, the Paiza community, known as "paizaの森" (Forest of Paiza), has seen an impressive turnout of over 300 participants in its online programming and career study sessions. This initiative, managed by Paiza Corporation (located in Minato, Tokyo) and led by CEO Ryohei Katayama, began offering free access to these sessions starting April 24, 2025, allowing a wider audience to experience the joys of programming.
What is "paizaの森"?
"paizaの森" serves as a thriving community for users of Paiza, an online platform aimed at aiding IT engineers in their job applications, recruitment, and learning processes. Initially exclusive to paid members and only accessible since January 2021, the community decided to expand its reach by making the online study sessions free. Participants can now engage in collaborative learning environments to enhance their programming skills.
Study Session Formats
The online study sessions are comprised of two main types: programming study sessions and career guidance sessions.
- - Programming Study Sessions: Hosted by experienced IT engineers who also develop content for Paiza Learning, these sessions focus on solving programming exercises based on the Paiza learning content. Each event tailors its difficulty based on participants’ skill levels defined by the Paiza ranking system, allowing everyone from beginners to advanced users to take part. Besides tackling coding problems, the sessions also encourage discussions on effective study habits and career development strategies.
- - Career Guidance Sessions: Led by career advisors from Paiza who are directly involved with corporate HR departments, these sessions provide insights into the current job market for IT engineers, interview techniques, and essential information about the IT industry.
