CNTE Unveils Cutting-Edge STAR X Integrated Energy Storage System at Intersolar Europe 2026

CNTE Unveils STAR X: A Leap Forward in Energy Storage

Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy (CNTE) has made significant strides in the energy sector with the introduction of its latest innovation, the STAR X Liquid-Cooled DC/AC Integrated Energy Storage System. This cutting-edge technology was launched at The smarter E Europe / Intersolar Europe 2026 held in Munich, Germany, from June 23 to 25. Located at Booth C2.420, CNTE is demonstrating how the STAR X system transforms large-scale energy storage by integrating intelligent architecture, operational flexibility, and enhanced safety features.

Innovation in Design and Functionality

The STAR X system is designed specifically for utility-scale applications as well as advanced commercial use. With an impressive capacity of up to 2800kW / 5644kWh, this system showcases a highly integrated design that combines both the battery and liquid-cooled grid-forming Power Conversion System (PCS) into a single cabinet. This compact setup not only saves space but also significantly enhances safety and accelerates deployment processes through fully internal DC cabling and factory pre-installation.

Equipped with CATL's third-generation 530Ah high-capacity battery cells, the STAR X system is engineered for longevity, achieving over 10,000 cycles at 70% State of Health (SOH). As a frontrunner in the market, it features integrated liquid-cooling technology alongside these large battery packs, which are essential in optimizing performance and ensuring reliability in energy storage systems.

Moreover, the intelligent control technology developed by CNTE offers independent cluster management and fault isolation, maintaining system availability well above 99%. By tackling issues of cluster imbalance and circulation loss effectively, STAR X elevates the discharge capacity by 6% over its full lifecycle while extending the system's lifespan by an additional five years.

Versatility and Transport-Friendly Design

One of the standout features of the STAR X system is its flexible configurations, which cater to diverse project requirements. It can be adjusted to operate in various scenarios, ranging from 1MW/2MWh up to 2.8MW/5.6MWh. Users can choose between a high-power mode at 0.5P or a four-hour duration mode at 0.25P, depending on their needs. Its transport-friendly design weighs in at under 45 tons, making it suitable for both land and sea transportation, easily meeting international shipping standards.

Operational efficiency is taken a step further with user-friendly features, such as one-click startup and shutdown capabilities, APP-based commissioning, and over-the-air (OTA) remote upgrades. With AI-powered fault diagnostics and intelligent lifespan predictions, the STAR X system greatly minimizes the operational complexity often associated with energy storage maintenance.

Commitment to Safety and Sustainability

Safety is paramount in the design of the STAR X, which is equipped with a comprehensive multi-level protection architecture that monitors components from cell to container. The incorporation of 24/7 online insulation monitoring adds another layer of reliability essential for safe operations. Designed for various applications, including peak shaving, renewable energy integration, frequency regulation, microgrids, and more, STAR X represents CNTE's commitment to driving the global energy transition with advanced storage technologies.

As a company funded by CATL, CNTE is dedicated to providing integrated energy storage solutions that include research and development, intelligent manufacturing, and localized services. With stringent quality controls and systematic delivery processes, CNTE aims to contribute to high-efficiency and safe energy systems that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility on a global scale.
