The "WAKO TREE" handkerchiefs, measuring 25x25 cm and made from 100% cotton, are available in two elegant color options: Black and Green. Each handkerchief retails for ¥3,850 (tax inclusive).

This collaboration marks a significant milestone as it combines Wako's charm with Feiler's rich heritage of traditional weaving, particularly using the famous Schnüra weaving technique. Renowned for its fine designs, Feiler brings a touch of warmth and creativity to the handkerchiefs, ensuring they are a delightful addition to your holiday celebrations, whether as gifts for loved ones or a treat for yourself.

The Holiday Tradition

Every year, Wako’s Christmas handkerchiefs become a beloved winter accessory for many. Their delicate designs, coupled with heartwarming motifs, have made them an enduring symbol of the festive season. This year, the Wako x Feiler collaboration introduces a fresh chapter in this long-standing tradition, bringing forth special designs that reflect the essence of holiday joy.

People eagerly await the release of these handkerchiefs, which are intricately designed to resemble a Christmas tree adorned with iconic Wako symbols, such as a watch, handbags, jewelry, and sweets. The luxurious black and green color schemes feature gold and varying colors of thread, creating a stunning visual experience that enhances the festive spirit. The vibrant attributes of these handkerchiefs make them perfect for both special occasions and everyday use.

A Touch of Nostalgia

Adding an element of nostalgia, the collection subtly revives motifs from previous successful collaborations, such as the popular Fraisier (shortcake) and Chocolat Frais (chocolate). These playful designs not only bring joy but also foster a sense of collectibility, appealing to enthusiasts of fine textiles and holiday memorabilia.

About Feiler

Founded in 1928 by Ernst Feiler in what is now the Czech Republic, the brand quickly became known for its innovative techniques inspired by traditional Bavarian Schnüra weaving. After moving to Hohenberg in Germany post-WWII, Feiler flourished under the guidance of the founder’s family, and today, it retains the same spirit of craftsmanship and innovation.

The Schnüra Weaving Technique

The term ‘Schnüra’ translates to ‘caterpillar’ in French, named after the texture of the chenille yarn used in the weaving process. Feiler’s Schnüra weave is characterized by its softness, thickness, and remarkable absorbent and quick-drying properties. With about 130 hues of dyed threads, Feiler is able to create intricate designs with up to 18 different colors, resulting in an outstanding array of products, from handkerchiefs to bags.

Quality and Safety

Utilizing 100% cotton, Feiler ensures that its products meet the strictest safety standards, including the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 Class I certification, reassuring consumers of its safety for infants as well. As the products are washed repeatedly, the absorbency and quick-drying features improve, while the durability ensures they resist fading and deformation. Feiler's unique re-weaving technique enhances the vibrancy of colors, ensuring they last longer.
