Hyundai Motor America Welcomes Steven Yandura as New U.S. National Sales VP

Hyundai Motor America has appointed Steven Yandura as the new Vice President of National Sales, effective immediately. With a track record of successful sales leadership, Yandura's experience is set to steer Hyundai towards continued growth in the competitive U.S. automotive market.

Role and Responsibilities

In his new position, Yandura will oversee all facets of sales and distribution operations for Hyundai vehicles within the United States. His responsibilities will encompass crafting effective sales strategies, managing fleet and certified pre-owned operations, maintaining dealer relations, and enhancing market representation to foster sales growth and increase market share. He will supervise the company's seven sales regions, reporting directly to Claudia Márquez, the Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor America.

Previous Achievements

Randy Parker, President and CEO of Hyundai and Genesis Motor North America, emphasized Yandura's strong retail sales performance at Genesis, stating that this appointment aligns with Hyundai's strategy to maintain record-breaking U.S. sales and broaden its market share. Parker noted, “This leadership transition reflects the strength and continuity of our North America leadership team and the deep bench we've built across both brands.”

Yandura's most recent role was Vice President of Sales Operations at Genesis Motor America, where he played a crucial role in achieving record sales figures—over 80,000 vehicles sold in 2025. The brand is projected to set another sales record in 2026, with year-to-date sales already up by 3%.

Before joining Genesis, Yandura held various senior leadership positions at Stellantis, including Vice President of MOPAR U.S. and Field Operations. He significantly increased parts revenue and improved customer satisfaction metrics across the board. His extensive background spans over 30 years in the automotive industry, covering sales, aftersales, and brand management.

Looking Ahead

Yandura's appointment is part of a larger strategic initiative, labeled '6 for 6 in 2026', aimed at achieving six consecutive years of retail sales records in the U.S. This ambitious target underscores Hyundai's commitment to growth and its ambition to become a leading player in the automotive sector.

In addition to Yandura's appointment at Hyundai, Edgar Carranza is set to take over as the Vice President of Sales Operations at Genesis Motor America, ensuring continuity within the leadership framework of both brands. Carranza's extensive background and expertise will be instrumental as Genesis continues to flourish.

Hyundai Motor America is dedicated to offering a technology-rich lineup of vehicles, including cars, SUVs, and electrified options while supporting Hyundai Motor Company's overarching vision of Progress for Humanity. With significant investments planned in the U.S. through 2028, including a $26 billion commitment, Hyundai is poised for robust growth in the coming years. The company’s extensive presence in the U.S. features its North American headquarters in California, the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing facility in Alabama, and several advanced research and development centers, alongside a network of over 855 independent dealers across the nation.

As Yandura steps into this pivotal role, all eyes will be on Hyundai as it embarks on an exciting new chapter aimed squarely at dominating the U.S. market landscape.
