Empowering Gamblers: FanDuel Predicts Revolutionizes Betting with Market Insights

FanDuel and CME Group Launch New Prediction Platform

In a groundbreaking initiative, FanDuel, a leading online gaming company in North America, has joined forces with CME Group, one of the premier derivatives marketplaces, to unveil FanDuel Predicts. This innovative platform will allow users to trade based on upcoming headlines, ranging from financial indicators to major sports events. Launching initially in five states—Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota, and South Dakota—the service aims to broaden access to financial markets and sports betting across the U.S.

What is FanDuel Predicts?

FanDuel Predicts offers users the opportunity to engage with the events shaping their world. Through this new mobile application, users can trade on event contracts related to notable news stories and sports outcomes. The platform will feature a variety of markets, spanning financial benchmarks such as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100, as well as event contracts in sports like baseball, basketball, and hockey. Expected to vary in cost from just $0.01 to $0.99, these contracts will give customers the ability to express their opinions on which events are likely to occur.

The app, available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, will integrate FanDuel's established Know Your Customer (KYC) protocol, requiring users to submit personal information, including birthdate, Social Security number, and government-issued ID, to participate. This seamless onboarding process ensures a secure environment for every user.

Expanding the Reach: Future Plans for FanDuel Predicts

As part of its rollout plan, FanDuel Predicts aims to extend its services to all 50 states gradually. The predictions will incorporate a broad spectrum of economic indicators, covering areas like oil and gas prices, gold, cryptocurrencies, and more. As online sports betting continues to gain legal acceptance in various states, FanDuel will adjust its offerings accordingly, ceasing sports event contracts in states that pass new betting legislation.

_CEO of FanDuel, James Cooper_, emphasized that the introduction of this platform allows customers not just to bet, but to actively engage with significant issues such as upcoming economic changes or pivotal sports events. This platform isn't about mere gambling; it’s about giving users the tools to reflect their views on current events and trends.

Similarly, Lynne Fitzpatrick, President and CFO of CME Group, stated the importance of this launch in expanding the reach of their prediction markets to millions of users affiliated with FanDuel.

Empowering Users with Consumer Protection

In line with its commitment to consumer welfare, FanDuel Predicts will feature mechanisms for users to manage their spending, including deposit limits and alerts. The app will also provide users with options for self-exclusion, showing a deep commitment to responsible gaming. Mental health services offered by Kindbridge Behavior Health will further enhance the user support experience.

With approximately 17 million customers across the United States and a continuously growing footprint, including 25 retail locations, FanDuel is positioned as a leader in the mobile gaming landscape. Their extensive catalog encompasses a wide range of services, including FanDuel Sportsbook, FanDuel Casino, and FanDuel Racing.
