BlazeSports America Celebrates 30 Years with the Sixth Annual Peachtree Paragames

BlazeSports America, a pioneering nonprofit established following the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games, is gearing up to host its sixth annual Peachtree Paragames on June 12-13, 2026. This year's event carries extra significance as it also marks three decades of BlazeSports bringing opportunities to individuals with physical disabilities through sports and community programs.

The Peachtree Paragames is structured as a multi-day celebration in honor of Olympic and Paralympic Day, fostering an inclusive environment for youth, adults, and veterans with physical disabilities. The event is designed to inspire athletes across all abilities through various activities, including free clinics, tournaments, and community engagement initiatives.

A Look at the Event

This year’s Peachtree Paragames will showcase a range of sports tailored to adaptive athletes. Organized clinics and competitions will be hosted by distinguished Olympians and Paralympians, offering participants a unique opportunity to learn and compete in adaptive track and field, archery, and weightlifting.

Another highlight is the annual Toddler Games, specifically designed for children aged 2 to 5. This segment includes engaging activities such as the foam javelin throw, long jump, and a friendly 60-meter dash, ensuring that even the youngest athletes have a chance to experience the fun of competition.

Prominent figures from the U.S. Olympians & Paralympians Association Georgia Chapter, such as Paralympians Al Mead, Jarryd Wallace, and Lee Ford-Faherty, are confirmed to attend, mixing and inspiring all attendees with their remarkable journeys and achievements.
