The Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Fest, established in 2014, has grown to become one of Japan's largest Halloween celebrations, drawing in remarkable numbers of attendees. This year, from October 24 to 26, the event is anticipated to attract over 160,000 visitors, surpassing last year's record number of 161,000. The 2025 edition promises to enhance the experience for international attendees and families alike. The event organizers, which include the Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Fest Executive Committee, Dwango, and various local entities, are committed to creating a welcoming environment for visitors. A main feature this year will be the Niconico Cosplay Creation, allowing participants to showcase their excellent costumes on the main stage at Nakai Ikebukuro Park. Also, the Ikebukuro Cosplay Parade will feature around 400 costume-clad attendees parading through the streets, temporarily turning them into pedestrian zones for an unforgettable spectacle.
