GAC Showcases Groundbreaking GOVY AirCab and 'Land-Air Matrix' at 2025 Expo in Hong Kong

On June 12, 2025, GAC made a significant impact at the International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo in Hong Kong by unveiling its latest innovations, including the GOVY AirCab—one of the world's first commercially produced flying vehicles. This event was not just a local showcase, but part of GAC's broader strategy, dubbed "One GAC 2.0," focused on enhancing brand presence and sales throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

The expo featured eight flagship models from GAC's major brands: GAC, AION, and HYPTEC. This introduction aligns with GAC's global localization initiative, aptly named "Hong Kong Action," which aims to create a solid presence across product offerings, service channels, and mobility ecosystems tailored specifically for the Hong Kong market. The event drew notable political and business leaders who expressed admiration for GAC's innovative approach and commitment.

Among the highlights of GAC's presentation was the unveiling of the AION UT—a premium compact model set to launch in Hong Kong later this year. With its stylish design, spacious interior, and advanced technology, the AION UT is poised to make waves in the local market. In conjunction with this, GAC plans to expand its retail network, introducing a new service center and showroom in Hong Kong by the end of 2025. To enhance customer service, GAC will also provide a "Hong Kong-Mainland Permit" solution designed to cater to the cross-border mobility needs of consumers.

Additionally, GAC announced plans to install 300 ultra-fast charging stations throughout Hong Kong, in partnership with ONTIME Mobility, to create a more comfortable and accessible mobility ecosystem by 2028. This initiative underscores GAC's commitment to sustainable and innovative transportation solutions.

The GOVY AirCab's debut marks a pivotal moment in the aircraft and automotive industries. Designed as a multi-rotor flying vehicle, it stands to revolutionize personal transportation by allowing for on-demand aerial mobility in congested urban areas. Initial operational tests are scheduled to commence later this year in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with customer deliveries expected to begin by the end of 2026.

As GAC continues to roll out its ambitious global strategy, Hong Kong emerges as a crucial hub from which the company intends to amplify its market presence and deliver superior mobility experiences, focusing on quality, technology, and service excellence.

Stay tuned for further developments and test flights of the GOVY AirCab, as GAC sets a leading example in the future of urban mobility. The realm of flying cars is no longer a distant dream but is rapidly becoming reality under GAC’s innovative leadership and forward-thinking strategies.
