19th True Contemporary History Perspective Essay Contest
The APA Japan Renewal Foundation is pleased to announce the 19th True Contemporary History Perspective Essay Contest, which opens for submissions on April 1. This contest aims to encourage proposals that will help Japan’s journey as an independent nation based on a correct historical understanding.
Last year, Kunio Oda, a special professor at Reitaku University and former Air Officer, won the prestigious Fujiseishi Prize for his essay titled "Hints for Japan's Revival: From Self-Defense Forces Education."
This year's contest invites essays focusing on Japan's interactions with foreign countries in Europe, America, and Asia from modern times to the present. Participants are encouraged to uncover historical truths that have been obscured and make suggestions for revitalizing Japan through their unique perspectives on contemporary history.
