Exploring New Possibilities: Collective Mining Begins Drilling at San Antonio Project

Collective Mining Starts New Drilling at San Antonio Project

Collective Mining Ltd. (NYSE: CNL, TSX: CNL) proudly announces the initiation of a drilling program at its San Antonio Project situated in the Caldas region of Colombia. With an ambitious plan to drill at least 2,500 meters, the company aims to probe three significant gold-copper porphyry targets within a demarcated 2.5-kilometer mineralized corridor.

Operational Insights

Currently, Collective Mining operates five drill rigs as part of a comprehensive 60,000-meter drilling agenda set for 2025. Additionally, two more rigs are on contract, with operations expected to commence shortly in late January and February.

The company’s Executive Chairman, Ari Sussman, shared that the journey to this project has been a significant one. After its public debut in 2021, Collective Mining identified a genuine grassroots discovery at San Antonio, successfully drilling two high-risk holes on the same section line at varying dips into the Pound target, each exceeding 700 meters of substantial mineralization from the surface. This moment marked a key turning point, shifting the focus to the Guayabales Project and to discoveries such as the Apollo system, which ensued.

“Having revisited the San Antonio Project, I believe we possess a strong opportunity to uncover a major gold-copper porphyry system,” Sussman stated. The modifications and extensive research conducted by the team on historical data led to the recognition of a significantly altered and highly mineralized corridor of interest, enriching the understanding of the area.

Drilling Details and Progress

As drilling commences at the Pound target, the company's previous engagements yielded impressive outcomes. Notably, past drilling efforts in 2021 revealed molar intercepts, with samples showing grades of 0.53 g/t gold equivalent (SAC-08) and 0.41 g/t gold equivalent (SAC-06). This mineralization was located within a mix of brecciated porphyry quartz diorite and metagabbro country rock.

The recent surface mapping and sampling efforts indicated a proliferation of mineralization, enhancing the surface scale of the highly altered system to an expansive 650 meters by 550 meters. Collective Mining maintains that previous drilling may have tapped into the pyrite halo of a copper-gold porphyry system, hinting at potentially richer mineralization nearby.

Furthermore, new soil anomalies have been mapped at the uncharted Real and Euro targets, each extending over considerable surface areas. The Real target, situated northwest of Pound, showcases multiple gold and copper mineralized porphyry clasts entrenched within breccia bodies, while the Euro target, about a kilometer south of Pound, reveals coincident soil anomalies indicating promising signs of porphyry system features,

Corporate Context

Founded by a team renowned for their previous success in developing Continental Gold Inc., which was sold to Zijin Mining for approximately $2 billion, Collective Mining is now at the forefront of exploration endeavors for gold, silver, copper, and tungsten in Colombia. With properties located in well-established mining camps alongside fully permitted operational mines, the organization is establishing its footprint firmly.

The San Antonio Project is strategically positioned only 4 kilometers east of the Guayabales Project, which has the Apollo system at its core and hosts a high-grade, large-scale bulk-tonnage gold-silver-copper-tungsten system. A significant part of the company’s shareholding (about 44.5%) is owned by management, insiders, and strategic investors, ensuring alignment with shareholder interests.

As drilling progresses, the team eagerly anticipates receiving assay results that could further guide their exploration in this promising landscape. Collective Mining’s dedication to exploring and developing mineral resources underlines their commitment to sustainability and responsible mining practices, setting a noteworthy example in the industry.
